Hi - a query about creating displays. I have created an object display with multiple fields. When in 'list' layout, not all fields fit within the CA screen - I have to scroll to the right to read the final columns. Can we restrict the list layout so all fields fit within the screen? Obviously too many fields would be a mess but some columns are a lot wider than others (e.g. object media representation), even though the thumbnail within it is much smaller.

Also, is there a way to edit/remove the 'default' display function from the display options? I would like to choose one of our custom object displays to be the default system display for our system and not have default as an option.

Unfortunately no, and no. You could probably tweak the CSS of the result table to make the first thing happen though. If you put a new CSS file here: themes/default/css/local.css, it'll be included automatically and any definitions in there will override whatever is in our stylesheets (because it's included after ours)
The default display is always there unfortunately

Hello everyone! I am having some problems creating relationships between objects and collections. I hope you can help me! When I try to relate a collection with an object that I created with providence interface, using the collection editor, the name of the object isn't recognized and collective access asks me if I want to create another one. However, if I try to do the same with an object created by the collective access API, it works. I am having the same problem using the object editor interface. Have this already happen to anyone here?

Hmm. The autocomplete lookup thing performs a search in the background. Are you able to find these objects under Find > Objects or just using the QuickSearch at the top of the page?
Also, are you using any "special" (non ASCII) characters in your object title? We've had some lookup problems with those not too long ago.

Yeah, that's another thing that I dind't understood. I can find all the objects using the browse search, but if i try the basic search it doesn't work either. But i do not have any non ASCII character in the object title or in the object identifier. I just use common characters, numbers and spaces.

@anacalmeida Yeah the browse is different from the basic and advanced search. It doesn't use the search indexes. What version are you using? My first guess would be that the asynchronous search indexing is failing for some reason in your system. Try recreating the search indexes and see if the object you added by UI comes up then. There's a tool under Manage > Administrate > Maintenance
If it does come up after the reindex, try setting disable_out_of_process_search_indexing = 1 in app.conf. The setting is near the bottom.
If I'm right, any changes you make from there will come up immediately
