Hi all, Some observations from my providence develop installation 1. The removal of the last item does not seem to work -^caobjects.printeddocument_objects.hierarchy.preferred_labels.name_plural%removeLastItems=1%delimiter=
  1. The storage location count seems to have disappeared from the count widget. Could be my fault but feedback for what its worth. Eric
Should have clarified 1. i.e the last item is not removed.

@eriwm If you're using multiple options on a template you have to chain them together with an ampersand (like GET parameters in a URL)
^ca_foo.bar%option1=value1&option2=value2 etc
right now it'll just take your delimiter option I believe
The storage location count in the counts widget seems to be disabled by default. If you edit the dashboard and click on the little (i) on that widget, you get a settings form where you can enable them

Thank you Stefan, Ok re the count widget. I understand that my display template should read ^caobjects.printeddocument_objects.hierarchy.preferred_labels.name_plural%removeLastItems=1&delimiter=➞. I have tried this but it does not seem to remove the last item. This is the printout Financial Records ➞ Record, Bookkeeping ➞ Record, Payroll ➞ Book, Time. This is just an example where I don't want to print "Book, Time". Any further suggestions would be welcome.

Where did you get the removeLastItems option from?
I don't think that exists
There's only removeFirstItems

Hmmmm must have been dreaming - should be using something like "max levels from top" I suppose but this will only work if lists are of a fixed length. Will look for another solution. Thanks Eric

We've never seen a use case where someone wanted to strip off the selected item I guess
Kind of defeats the purpose I suppose :-)

It's due to the rather strange existing cataloguing system I am trying to replicate which distinguishes between an object,s title and its name . For example Oxford Dictionary is the Title of a Printed Document (object category)

Oops - and the objects name which is book. Items may have a number of sub-categories between Printed Document(category/type) and book(object name) so effectively the lowest item in the hierarchical list is the name. My record headings look like this Title - Oxford Dictionary , Category-Printed Document, Sub-Category xxxx ,Name - book. Hence the requirement to take the last item from the hierarchical list (sub categories) and print it under the NAME field. Hope this explains the reason
