@lucybbs You cam find the list of element codes defined in your system under the Manage menu, in Administrate > Metadata elements
@WPI_Library_twitter You'll need to define the type for each imported record, be it collection level, series, box, etc.
@WPI_Library_twitter The hierarchical relationship is mapped via the parent_id field
@WPI_Library_twitter If you want to share your mapping we can try to give specific advice
@WPI_Library_twitter Note that the Mattress Factory profile is rather specific to their project, which is for a rather unusual collection/archive.

@eriwm to set up the editor in that way you need to drag the Related Entity bundle onto the editor and press Save. Then drag the next one on and press Save. Repeat this process until you have as many as you need. Once they're all placed on the screen you can control which relationship types are available by pressing the (i) icon and adjusting the settings.

Hello, I'm checking out Collective Access for the first time to see if it might work for my project. Can someone tell me how to create a finding aid? I don't see the Report/Export/EAD button I've typically found in other cataloging tools

Hi @Lite_Foxing_twitter you can see our Finding Aid reports/exports in PDF format configured on the demo: http://demo.collectiveaccess.org/editor/collections/CollectionEditor/Summary/collection_id/4 (back-end) and as an interactive interface on the front-end: http://demo.collectiveaccess.org/pawtucket/Detail/collections/4
We also support export to EAD XML but it's not configured on the demo

Thank you thank you!
Is it configured in the full version?

It depends which installation profile (or front-end theme) you choose. There are several archival set ups that include configurations of this feature.
The EAD XML mapping isn't included in the installation profile, but there are mappings available on the support forum that can be paired or tailored to your custom system

Interesting. I will have limited IT assistance on this project. Is mapping fairly straightforward?

It's moderate in terms of complexity. It's fully documented here: http://docs.collectiveaccess.org/wiki/Data_Exporter but as I said you'd likely tweak a mapping that is available on the forum rather than write one from scratch.

@juliaweist Thanks for the feedback, this is what I originally did so I deleted all related entities and re configured as per your latest advice. Added Brown as donor, Black as accessioner, White as digitiser and Green documenter but when I go to my summary display in the related entities display I get Brown as bequeather, Black as bequeather, White as bequeather and Green as bequeather. Display format in my Summary Display for related entities is <unit relativeTo="ca_objects_x_entities">
^ca_entities.preferred_labels (^relationship_typename)</unit>. I must be doing something wrong but don't know what!!

@juliaweist I have found the right log to look at and it shows Object Related Entities being added but none being deleted this maybe the cause of the problem!

No need to include a unit in your display template for what you want to output. You can simply use: ^ca_entities.preferred_labels (^relationship_typename)

@juliaweist Hi again Julia, Thank you for your reply. I changed the Display Format and now Summary Screen shows correct relationships but I still cannot seem to get rid of the brackets from the deleted entity relationship types - any suggestions. Thanks also for your patience.
