@juliaweist Now I realized that the relationship fields are not working on both the Object UI and the Occurrence UI. What I was referring was the metadata element which datatype is occurrence, pulling up from source data. The occurrence is used in two metadata fields: Digital Source set and Slide Source set. The occurrence field is attributed to the object <--> occurrence relationships, but neither of the related occurrence fields are showing the source.

@artvrc that looks like you're trying to create an interstitial attribute (see http://docs.collectiveaccess.org/wiki/Relationship_Records). You will have to create a form for that particular relationship as represented by the interstitial_entity_ui on that page. You can then edit the data in the intertitial using the paperclip icon.

Fields with the datatype "occurrence" are not relationships (they don't appear in relationship fields, they don't carry a relationship type, and they aren't linked on the target record). The datatype "occurrence" is simply a reference. It's a look-up on the occurrence table for authority control, but ultimately the value is stored as text.
