I check Chrome's inspector, there are 2 errors:
1) "No TileSource was able to open undefined Object $.TileSource.determineType @ openseadrason.js:11361"
2) Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

Ok that implies you didn't actually generate those page previews. Does your installation have a local media_processing.conf file? Or are you using the standard one?

That's the standard one (1.7.5) downloaded from CA website. Haven't changed its setting.

@zombabie This seems like the same exact problem I have --when I upgraded I couldn't get any of the viewers to work with pdfs (http://collectiveaccess.org/support/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/298742/providence-1-7-pdfs-can-t-see-in-viewers#latest, http://collectiveaccess.org/support/forum/index.php?p=/discussion/298786/pdf-viewer-working-in-1-7-in-windows#latest) . In my case it was attributed to using IIS. I would be very much interested to hear if you get this fixed.

Ok. I have spent much of my adult live trying to avoid installing Windows Server. Perhaps now is the time for a change.

Hi, I'm having a problem trying to use the Universal viewer in Providence 1.7.5 -- big page views of previously uploaded PDFs aren't showing up at all even after reprocess-media. Thumbnails in the left pane are showing up but load sloooowly... I thought maybe my PDFs were just too big but if I reupload them they seem to show up fine. Anything else I can try? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ RHEL 6.9 php 5 ....???
