    Hi all! [using Providence1.7.3]:
    I would like to make available and searchable (in search form) two elements:
    • Relationship type (we created about 70 relations and we need filter them)
    • User name (ca_users) to select registers created by an specific user
    Is it possible do that? Any idea?

    @bib_mais_twitter What do you expect searches on these fields to return?

    dear all, I do have a problem with a regex inside app/lib/core/BaseModel.php in php 7.3.2 => this preg_replace("/[^\d-.]+/", "", $vm_value) in order to strip non numerical chars is KO. Replacing it with a preg_replace("/[^\d]+/", "", $vm_value) is ok, I could send a pull request with that, and seems a quick fix ; nevertheless the "-." may be there for a reason. So, for now, if you develop with the latest homebrew php, many things are down, you cannot add a metadata through the interface, edit a user, and so on. OK for a pull request or is it a bad idea ?

    Hi all! We have the possibility to choose the starting metadata schema to describe the museum collection (coming from an spreadsheet). It seems LIDO is the best option but it seems strange to me it doesn't come as a profile within CA, since is used a lot on museums.
    I explain a little bit more in the same question here: https://collectiveaccess.org/support/index.php?p=/discussion/comment/321065/#Comment_321065

    @collectiveaccess let me give you more details:
    about relationships, there are relations with multiple functions, for example, entities are linked by the relation of participation in events, or relation of prize, or production, or curationship of the event, that is, it would be necessary to search for relationships to filter these datasets. At the moment I can use displays to show this data but not to search an specific relations.

    about users, we have a cataloging flow that involves several users, from different groups (text, iconographic, conservation) and to create cataloging statistics that help us to measure the working time by teams, we need to carry out these types of searche we need to carry out searches like that

    I hope it has become clearer. In fact, we have a complex data repository: 88910 entities; 99702 documents, 10149 document parts; 70707 artworks, organized hierarchically in 4 fonds and 3 collections with 32 groups, 62 subgroups and 42 series...and this is only part of the documentation

    CollectiveAccess
    @collectiveaccess
    @_pablobianchi_twitter I have yet to work with a museum using LIDO
    If you want a profile for LIDO, you might want to take a shot creating one. If it works well we'd be happy to add it to the standard software distribution
    You can qualify searches on relationship type by prefixing the search term with a qualifier in the form <table>.<field>/<relationship types>
    where <relationship types> can be one or more relationship type codes separated with commas
    Eg. To find objects with related artists with the last name "Smith" you might do something like this
    ca_entities.preferred_labels.surname/artist:Smith
    You can add access points to search_indexing.conf to simplify this syntax
    For users, you'd have to add configuration to search_indexing.conf to index specified fields in ca_users.
    I'm not aware of anyone actually doing that
    CollectiveAccess
    @collectiveaccess
    You can also use the "created" and "modified" special fields along with user_ids to find records created/modified by a specific user in a certain time frame
    @gautiermichelin The "-" is there to handle negative numbers... but it should be escaped

    @_pablobianchi_twitter
    Thanks! I started this LIDO profile fork based on this repo and this comment.
    Right now I don't have problems with searches.
    I have the awful feeling I'm missing something big: It seems I'm alone asking about using LIDO to describe collections. On an ideal world shouldn't every museum be using LIDO not just for exposing metadata to be harvested with OAI-PMH, but also for describing their materials?
    If not LIDO, what else? SPECTRUM, VRA Core, CDWA-Lite, museumdat... all seems deprecated after LIDO. I'm just looking for the best/more standard metadata scheme to start off on the right foot

    Hi team! I've started working with collective access and pawtucket together, but images won't show in pawtucket even though they are correctly uploaded in providence. I verified that the server has all the mandatory extensions and requirements for the correct use of CA, and I look into the setup.php and I couldn't find where's the error. I hope someone can help me with this, thank you in advance

    Pawtucket has it's own configuration files.
    It also has a browse.conf (in app/conf of your PA-installation) where you define facets.
    It's the same as the browse.conf of your CA-installation, but you have to enter the information here as well.
    Hope this helps

    @aruijmen can you please guide me how to add the artwork because currently its shows no facets but i have added the artwork

    Hi! Can anyone help me to create an advanced search or a browse facet to find objects without a value in a given field? I can search using something like ca_objects.my_field:"[BLANK]", but how could I achieve the same using search forms or browse? Thanks
    bzotivla
    @bzotivla
    Hello all! Its possible to Browse objects by a metadata element (on Pawtucket)? I tried to do it on the browse.conf with the element code, but not succeed. How can i do it, if possible?
    Thanks and good work!!
    Anita Ruijmen
    @aruijmen

    @bzotivla What did you try?
    You could do it like this:
    code_facet = {
    type = attribute,
    element_code = code,

                        group_mode = alphabetical,

                        label_singular = _("code"),
                        label_plural = _("code")
                }

    Where did you make your changes in browse.conf? in app/conf or in app/conf/local of your PA-installation?

    bzotivla
    @bzotivla
    @aruijmen it worked with your implementation! I did the changes on app/conf! Thank you

    My previous question is not valid anymore as we have found the cause of the problem, hence solved. We were using wrong backend caching.
    What the Fuck Seba?!
    @wtfseba_twitter
    @collectiveaccess I solved it! I had to define the path of media folder in global.conf... Thank you!

    We have the following browse.conf configuration for the 'browse by gender' functionality but the issue is that it finds all relationships and we would like to restrict the gender browse to only consider certain relationship types like
    restrict_to_relationship_types = [creator,Collaborating_Artist,publisher,painter,engraver,printer,etcher,author,handcolourist,masterprinter,videographer]
    i.e. if one of the above is male or female then display the results in Browse and exclude others from the browse results. Can this be configured?
    I tried to use "suppress = [772]," where 772 is the item id of the entity type to to be excluded from browse but it doesn't work.

    gender = {
    type = attribute,
    element_code = sex,
    relative_to = ca_entities,
    group_mode = none,
    facet_groups = [],
    labelsingular = ("Artist Gender"),
    labelplural = ("Artist Genders")
    },

    Hi! Someone could help? Is there a number of sets permitted for "Batch editing" that I can create? We have a big flow of review and we created more than 200 sets and suddenly the option "create set" was omitted for our editor profile user. During this process we also discovered that there is not option to delete (at once) all 200 sets created. It seems we have to delete set by set... How to remove all sets created using user interface?
    CollectiveAccess

    There is no limit
    But there is also no batch way to delete all sets

    @collectiveaccess I am trying to understand what's happening in Session.php. It seems we cannot get session ID from the cookie and we try to generate a new one, which happens just after logging in. Indeed, when I compare cookies in the working laptop installation and broken server one, there is one more cookie which is not set in the second case. Any idea how to check what prevents setting this cookie?
