No, that's not what this software is for. It's for institutions to download and install for themselves. So you will need some hosting, either one that you manage or get a vendor to install and host it for you.
If you're after something you can just upload work to and build a webpage, i suggest you look at Omeka.net
@collectiveaccess: I have just tested out the new 3D object code you mentioned a while ago and pleased to say the new sidecar file works! I can view the 3D object in full. Thank you for your work on this.

Hi. I am currently dealing with 'Lock Wait Timeout Exceeded' errors on new uploads to my database. We are in version 1.7.12, and are using Imagick.
@BryanWWork: What OS and MySQL version are you using? Does this happen every time you try and upload media?

Hello everybody! I've been looking for info like about 2 days and I haven't found too much information about bundles. I want to edit a default bundle like ca_objects.preferred_labels or ca_objects_deaccession and add one metadata (a new one) to that bundle. I've read that those are special bundles. CA allows me to create a new container and add metadata to that container creating new attributes. I can edit this new container from Manage->Administration->Metadata elements but the 'default' bundles like ca_entities, ca_objects.preferred_labels, ca_objects.nonpreferred_labels etc aren't visible, just in the DB. Is there anything I can do to edit those bundles? I have CA 1.7 Hope u are having a great day. thanks!

Hello! Question: when exporting bundles via PDF Checklist, long texts are cut off after a certain amount of characters. Is there a way of extending this limit to include long texts?
Hi folks! Getting started with CollectiveAccess, so far I'm learning a lot and I've added a few items and collections to our setup. One thing I can't get working out of the box though is /Collections, it shows "No collections available" even if I have multiple collections marked as "accessible to public", and they are viewable through /Browse. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

@sterlingjenson
@jonasrosland Welcome. The first step is to check if the objects are accessible to the public and the media is too
I cannot tell you how many times I skipped one of those boxes
Jonas Rosland
@jonasrosland
@sterlingjenson Yup! They're all publicly available. I can see them through the Browse>Collections, go into each item, see the media etc.
Thread with some screenshots here to explain what I see
Ok doesn't seem like I can post screenshots in a thread, so here goes.
There we go

The collections pop up when using the search function as well
@jonasrosland: I believe the Collections page needs to be customised in the collections.php file under the theme directory. You need to tell it what you want to have displayed there. But I haven't actually used Pawtucket, so will need confirmation on that.

@jonasrosland
Ok, I’m just using the standard template that comes with Pawtucket, so… seems like that might be broken?
@jonasrosland not broken, but some bits need to be set up to work with how you've set up Providence side. It can't assume which profile you've chosen for your data modelling. As a highly customisable piece of software you need to get into the configurations if you want it to work the best it can.
Hi @jonasrosland . I will install Pawtucket and take a look today. In the collections.conf file there is a place to say what collection types to use are. They might be something like internal or external. I can't remember what the DC profile uses. When you add a collection, what are the types you have to pick from?
