Hi, guys!
Please help! How i can ignore .git folder in my packages?
It is possible?

Just don't look at it? Isn't your whole vendor folder gitignored anyway? If you use --prefer-source then you'll get the git version. Probably need to explain your situation a bit more

@OwenMelbz when i required my packet .git folder downloaded too. Many of the existing packages do not download it by default

Maybe how your composer.json is set up, can you try download it on a random computer and see what it pulls in? Have you tried installing from the require CLI or just from composer install?

When i do composer require [mypackage] --prefer-dist everything is ok - .git folder isn't downloaded. When I will set

  "config": {
    "preferred-install": "dist"
  }

in composer.json file - .git folder will be download =(

It's probably something else in the composer.json or it's detecting your the owner, so pulling in the source
