@g-oikonomou I'm using Contiki 3.0
Jim Solderitsch
@jsolderitsch

@g-oikonomou I did these commands:

git checkout contrib/simplelink-base-demo-enhanced
git rebase -i develop

And I did not get any errors. I did see a message on my screen:

Successfully rebased and updated refs/heads/contrib/simplelink-base-demo-enhanced.

Now what do I do? Do I need to push anything to any where? I believe I included only the real code changes for the PR in the rebasing. There were 2 commit hex values that I did not recognize as mine when the editor popped up and I just deleted the "pick" lines for them. I did not change commit messages at this time.

Do I push my origin to this branch next?
George Oikonomou
@g-oikonomou
@jsolderitsch you probably need to git push -f origin contrib/simplelink-base-demo-enhanced
when you rebase, commit hashes will change - this is expected behaviour

@jsolderitsch you probably need to git push -f origin contrib/simplelink-base-demo-enhanced

Did this push and checks seem to be happening now.

Yeah this commit history looks sane
Thanks

I have a hard time getting the RPL border router working with slip. I use TSCH, tried RPL Lite and RPL Storing + Orchestra but i cannot ping the border router or other nodes from host.
I occasionally can successfully ping the host from a node through the border router. Logs from the tunslip6 shows packets coming in and out of the tunnel. But the pings from host are never
accompanied by any packets coming back from the slip.

@alexstanoev just another quick question, sorry :), when I flash the image on the nrf52840-dongle I need to run 3 times the .dfu-upload command, as the 'nrfutil dfu usb-serial' command fails, the first time since the port /dev/ttyACM0 is still busy, the second due to an error 'Unexpected Executed OP_CODE'. Is it normal as the dongle takes some time to move into DFU mode or it is an issue with my setup?

hello all,
One: I just want to push my sensor data to ubidots cloud. I’m Using Remote-RevB as MQTT Client and Orion Router as Edge Router (Border router).
Two: In the “Contiki-Zolartia-Pack” Repo MQTT-Client and Router .bin files(based on CETIC 6LBR) available for ubidots cloud and some more cloud. By making use of this, I was able to push my sensor data to Ubidots successfully
Three: But I don’t want to use “Contiki-Zolartia-Pack” Repo I want to achieve this only with Contiki-NG
Four: I have done many things to achieve this using Contiki-NG’s MQTT-Client. Firstly I have tried to connect to the Mosquitto Broker which is running on my Laptop. I faced some issues with IP addressing with the Help of @g-oikonomou I have achieved it. yes I was able to push the data to Mosquitto Broker
Five: Now I’m trying to push data to ubidots. I have tried in many ways. I have provided the correct IPv6 address and also the token. But it was not working mean the MQTT-Client was not connecting to the Router
MQTT-Client(Contiki-NG) +IP64 Router(Contiki-NG) =Ubidots Not Working
MQTT-Client(Contiki-Zolartia-Packs) +Cetic 6LBR (Contiki-Zolartia-Packs) =Ubidots Working

Six: Now from zolertia-packs I took ubidots related things and compiled with Contiki-ng, though the connection was not happening even I modified MQTT-client. c(Contiki-ng) hence I used complete MQTT-node in Contiki-ng. But I am facing two issues

  1. WITH_IP64 = 1(the issue is solved if I comment it)
  2. “undefined reference to noncoresec_framer”
    Seven: I'm here for the solution to achieve this with Contiki-NG. Did anyone has achieved this with Contiki-Ng? Even with other Cloud also fine but I have to do with Contiki-Ng
    Do the Needful
    Thank you
George Oikonomou
@g-oikonomou
@ranjithagh I would strongly suggest studying the Ubidots/MQTT documentation to see what they expect in terms of the format of MQTT messages.
I suspect it is very likely you'll need to change the MQTT client to send what they expect on their end. I expect the Ubidots cloud to be accessible on the IP (v4) network, so you'd need to have an IP64 device somewhere in the setup. Contiki-NG is not expected to work off the shelf with 6lbr, unfortunately
Alex Stanoev
@alexstanoev
@warner83 No worries! I don't think that's normal, I haven't seen it happen before. If you unplug the dongle, plug it back in, and run .dfu-upload without interacting with the port does it behave the same?
I suppose it doesn't happen when you reset it manually with the bootloader button
Carlo Vallati
@warner83
It happens anyway, even if I press the bootloader button
so it is a problem with my environment I'll investigate, thanks
which version of nrfutil do you use?
Alex Stanoev
@alexstanoev
sounds like an environment problem to me, I'm using nrfutil version 5.2.0
are you running a distro with ModemManager by chance?
if so, can you try systemctl stop ModemManager.service and see if that fixes it

Yes, I am using version 6.1.0, will try to downgrade! I already disabled ModemManager! Will check further thanks!

Alex Stanoev
@alexstanoev
Did you still have the issue after disabling and stopping ModemManager?
Carlo Vallati
@warner83
Yes, the ModemManager was the issue, it was still running under my nose, I was sure it was disabled and stopped! Thank you!
I am still having a "Permission denied: '/dev/ttyACM0'" error when the dongle switches to DFU so I need to run the command twice. I'll check udev config again. Thanks!
Alex Stanoev
@alexstanoev
Thought it was MM, great to hear! The permission denied message must be udev related, let us know if you're still having issues

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to intercept all the packets that a node overhear, while awake, I know this is somewhere around the MAC files, but looking at CSMA.c files and the framer files, I couldn't pinpoint where exactly, it would really help if someone could guide me with this. I want to simulate it using Cooja. I know it may look straight forward, but I have little experience dealing with MAC. Also, my simulation script runner suddenly stopped working, in Cooja, I keep getting this error "construction error for tool of class: org.contikios.cooja.plugins.ScriptRunner". Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello everyone. I am trying to use the bignum_exp_mode functionality from binum-driver.h, the cc2538 BigNum math functions of the PKC engine does not work me correctly. I used as all the reset big number operations:
PT_BEGIN(&state->pt);
CHECK_RESULT(bignum_exp_mod_start(e,1,m,1,b,1 ,&state->rv,state->process));
PT_WAIT_UNTIL(&state->pt, pka_check_status());
CHECK_RESULT(bignum_exp_mod_get_result(l_result, 1, state->rv));
PT_END(&state->pt);
But i always get PKA_STATUS_BUF_UNDERFLOW error. I checked in the bignum_exp_mod_get_result function and i see that the length of the result is always -3.
Someone know if exist any issue with this function?
ssh
@LPFraile
Looks like the function bignum_exp_mod_start does not make the computation because by checking on the result_vector memory position the data is always the base in which it is suppose to put the computed result value

@atiselsts
@hazelPhd look at input_packet function in os/net/mac/csma/csma.c
by default, it drops frames not for the node
you can modify this bit. Or create your own MAC layer if you want more extensive changes
for Cooja, I find it best to use Docker - it always works there, when the official Contiki-NG docker image is used

:point_up: November 25, 2020, 7:29 PM Since Contiki-NG does not work off the shelf with 6lbr so will i not be possible to push the data to ubidots ??
Now the problem is Mqtt-client isn't connecting to the 6lbr router

kevin-forest-cysca
@kevin-forest-cysca
is the ext-flash code supposed to work with simplelink platform?
George Oikonomou
@g-oikonomou
@kevin-forest-cysca as far as I can see the simplelink CPU supports the latest SPI HAL, and this is all that's required for the ext flash driver to work. So if your device actually has an SPI flash part that is supported by the driver, I'd expect it to work
Are you stumbling anywhere?
