    show / hide leaderboard
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    In my opinion it makes sense to hide the scores from participants if the leaderboard is disabled
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    well the leaderboard is a view of all submissions
    while the submissions should be a view a person's own submissions
    so to keep it simple we can add a new checkbox
    show / hide submissions
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    2 checkboxes? so one to show/hide leaderboard and one for for show/hide submissions?
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    this means there would be 3 configuration items:
    3
    hang on
    oh I can't add a screenshot
    OK there are already 2
    Show leaderboard?
    Submissions Details Visible?
    we will add a third
    Submissions Summary
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    hmmm. actually i have not seen that there was an option "submissions details visible"
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    the existing Submissions Details page refers to the single page which you added code for this morning
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    yes, i ve just noticed that...
    :)
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    OK so if we also have a Submissions List?
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    so i think you can remove the code from this morning. Didnt realize we could configure that
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    oh yes but the scores are still visible on the Submissions page
    as well as in messages
    so I think we can have one more which will show / hide the Submissions tab
    does that work for you?
    what is missing then is the user has no feedback on if their submission failed or not
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    hmmm, currently it seems participants cannot see their score in the submissions tab though...
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    it is actually configured in grader
    some challenges send the submission score in the messages
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    ok, so that's enough if we can configure it in the grader
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    hmmm thinking about it maybe its best to keep it like that
    OK so in that case we can reverse this morning's change
    as the detail page can be disabled via the checkbox
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    yes, in my opinion it is OK like that right now.
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    the submissions page is always visible only to the submitter
    (during the challenge)
    the score visibility is controlled by the grader
    OK I'll implement like that -- we just have some competing requirments and I'm trying to balance all
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    ok. However the submissions tab seems to be visible to every logged in participant though..it's not a problem for us
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    I'm fixing that right now
    the tab will be visible but you will see only your own data
    until after the challenge end when it is opened
    ok with you?
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    OK, but it would still be great if the organizer could see all submissions
    Sean
    @seanfcarroll
    the organizer can see all
    and even the leaderboard when it is hidden
    in the new model
    Ivan Eggel
    @ieggel
    OK, that makes sense!
    great
