@csarven
Also https://www.w3.org/TR/ldn/#consumer "The consumer may include additional headers or content for the purposes of authentication or authorization."
Yes!
Not LDN's business
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
great, then I can continue with my implementation :)
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
Go go go
I'd like to see your implementation pass the tests and be listed in the tests summary
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
even if it is only consumer side and closed source ?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
I don't think the spec itself demands it to be open source, but the WG most likely will not be in favour of it. It is not a requirement at this point to have more implementations either. So, we could in theory mention your implementation by string I suppose as there is nothing to link to. I'm not sure how useful that'd be in the end for anyone coming across the summary of implementations.
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
what is the deadline for test submissions ?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
We're past that. What we have now qualified for PR, and okay for REC.
But, I'd like to see this as an ongoing thing regardless of the W3C process. The protocol should gain adoption over time.
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
okay, I see that
Melvin Carvalho
@melvincarvalho
what do people think about well known locations for inboxes? could we have .well-known/inbox/ registered by IANA I wonder now that LDN is a REC?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
@melvincarvalho Would .well-known/inbox point to the site's inbox? More or less what's http://example.org/ 's inbox? If so, wouldn't that be equivalent to LDN's inbox discovery process of http://example.org/ ?

Hi everyone- thought I'd let you know of a few events that I'm running this week during London Tech Week
We’re asking Londoners to make product they think will make London better. Also paying £5,000 and taking the winning product owner to Miami to deploy their platform and engage a similar community there next. Giving a talk at The Collective tomorrow and also create a pop up workspace at the Town Hall Hotel for the 13th- food/drink and all that jazz included. Plus meet global smart city experts.

@jibe-b
Love this issue ORCID/ORCID-Source#3416 !!
ORCID should indeed support LDN :) So should open archives (HAL, etc) I'll go suggest
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
@jibe-b I think a PR to get that going as @stain suggested is probably not much work ;)
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
@jibe-b Thanks for the poke. ORCID/ORCID-Source#3847 :)
jibe-b
@jibe-b
@csarven You're welcome! but for the moment I don't master LDN (and neither Java) as you do^^
Is there a hackathon or any synchronized development session planned soon?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
ha! if you only knew.. I'm pretty close to useless when it comes to java
not to my knowledge.
jibe-b
@jibe-b
Shall I ask for one? :)
maybe more dokieli oriented, though
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
Where?
jibe-b
@jibe-b
no idea ;)
first things first: what is the percentage of chance ORCID accepts the PR according to you?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
I'll give a workshop on LDN/dokieli/solid etc at http://swib.org/swib17/
jibe-b
@jibe-b
Thanks, I'll see!
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
I don't know. It is an extension to the profile description. No particular reason not to include it I suppose. It gets added only if someone includes terms like 'inbox' or 'storage' in their profile followed with an URL
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
so, is this still active :)
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
I'm looking for a way to 'close' a inbox, e.g. a bug resource which is closed and thus will receice no more notifications
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
@semanticfire This channel is no longer active.. it stopped pretty much after the spec went through.
If I understand you correctly, why not remove the relation from the target to the inbox?
so that it won't be discovered..
Not sure about 'closing' though.. just unplug the server from the wall? :)
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
ah sorry for bothering then :)
any other 'official' channel ?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
Nope. No particular LDN-centric chat.. Sometimes in solid/node-solid-server , solid/chat , solid/app-development , and linkeddata/dokieli
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
hmm
working on a implementation on top of JMS here, where would you advice me to go ?
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
good question. no idea. I thought you were working on that back then :)
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
yeah, got backtracked
had a real need for it now :)
Sarven Capadisli
@csarven
cool. keep me posted. please submit a test report when you can.
Bart van Leeuwen
@semanticfire
will do!
