Good timing, I have some things I need to write down...
So, will all the current code be getting a rewrite?
Or is that safe to hack on?

There is very little code in this repo
all the code from the alpha prototype is in a private repo that I may pull from as this gets built back up
Matt

Ah! (assumed this was the old stuff)

no, only thing you can do with this is test the shortcuts module
I’ll be getting it put together quickly though.

regarding chip, we had talked about changing it up
Matt

Dec 11 2015 17:18
Do you want to divvy up some tasks?

the two things I remember were removing {{}} from the right-side and moving to a component model
which could be as simple as just putting controller/template pairs into a folder together. Or could be using custom elements which would take more work.
or we could just use Angular 2

pffff
Where's the fun in that?

too true

Dec 11 2015 17:21
Also shoudl this be discussed in chip-js?
Jacob Wright
@jacwright
Dec 11 2015 17:22
the discussion is more for Dabble: should we use Chip or Angular. If Chip, should we wait until Chip makes some changes before bringing the UI code over?
Matt
@matthopson
Dec 11 2015 17:25
Probably.
Kinda torn here.
Angular vs Chip - one is good for chip, the other is good for dabble (in terms of contributions)
Jacob Wright
@jacwright
Dec 11 2015 17:26
Exactly
Matt
@matthopson
Dec 11 2015 17:27
Let's just write a new framework
:trollface:

You know, I’ve got some libraries that will make that easier.

we’ll go with chip, do the component stuff later.

I'm not sure how much time you've spent in A2 (very little, myself) - but would writing the app in A2 offer some more developmental cues in Chip?
Jacob Wright
@jacwright
Dec 11 2015 17:31
what do you mean?
it’s got more documentation
Matt
@matthopson
Dec 11 2015 17:31
Maybe you find something you can't live without in Angular that should be included in Chip
Jacob Wright
@jacwright
Dec 11 2015 17:31
Oh, writing in A2 give us ideas for chip
gotcha
I don’t want to write it in typescript though
Matt
@matthopson
Dec 11 2015 17:33
So Chip 2 / pure JS
?

Let me know if there are any getting started items I can help with - can use GH issues or if it makes more sense for the time-being we can use something else to track tasks
Jacob Wright
@jacwright
Dec 11 2015 18:22
GH issues 100%
I’d like to use browserify instead of brunch, but we’ll need to see how we’ll work with the templates. You could research that if you’d like.
see if there are any html transforms
