gitter didn't notify me grrr
@adamralph @yreynhout Firstly, I'm not settled on the API. In the current incarnation, I've pulled the I(Json)Serializer, data and metadata is, for now, a string.
I definitely do want to stay away from a pure OO interface. It shields the user too much form considering long term data concerns.

I've considered, nay, agonized over, the bytes + content type, approach.

Nods, you need two layers, a raw one (bytes/strings) and a more typed one on top. Whether the lib provides the second layer or not, is fundamentally a descision that is ortogonal.

GES only works with json, as does RavenDB. I'm not sure limiting to that format is really constraining.
@yreynhout the problem is a bit of an OPs one. People don't like opening Sql Mgmt Studio, doing a select and getting indecipherable hex.
Good morning btw :)
And in practice, most just used json in NES.

It's a choice, I guess (json). Don't see the harm in that.

No worries ...
App level concern but lib convenience ....

I'll put it off until we definitely need it. MsSql and Sqlite first.

Sqlite inherently single writer?

Unsure
I am expecting concurrent access, so may stick a queue in front.
or just use sqlite's serialized mode

Believe v4 is going to be better in that regard.

issue in cedar.domain
deterministic guid generation needs to take a command/commit/transactionid into account
Damian Hickey
@damianh
May 11 2015 14:33
command Id is the thing then
