    I want to implement lambdauth for a mobile app. Any directions on that?

    Hi @danilop . Whenever you pop in here. I went ahead and ran the init.sh
    I encountered errors in Iam roles: A client error (MalformedPolicyDocument) occurred when calling the PutRolePolicy operation: There are invalid ARNs in the policy.
    I was using a cognito pool with the default iam roles for my app. Don't know if those roles interfered with your config!!
    Need help in getting this to work. THanks.

    I found the source of the problem. An extra space at the end of <ACCOUNT_ID> was throwing the error. Fault was mine. Corrected and the roles and associated policies are created. But now, there is an error in creating the lambda functions.
    The second error that I found was in the aws lambda create-function. On line 135 of the init.sh script:
    --role arn:aws:iam::$AWS_ACCOUNT_ID:role/${f} \
    should be replaced with
    --role arn:aws:iam::"$AWS_ACCOUNT_ID":role/${f} \
    $AWS_ACCOUNT_ID variable needs to be in quotes.

    Made a PR for the same.

    Thanks for your great work - I just tried to get it to integrate with Jaws Framework, but failed miserably ...
    one question: do you think you could easily add your content to the jaws framework and offer it to the community via the registry? see here https://github.com/awsm-org/awsm
    Would be fantastic!

    Hello. Very interesting and efficient. Quick question. How would you use this to login with an Android app? Would you create an API using Amazon API Gateway, or rather do API calls with AWS SDK? Any recommendation? What is the easiest / most efficent?

    Hi. Where can I find an example of using the Token & IdentityId returned from a successful LambdAuthLogin / login.html ?

    hi - thank you for the example. will be building an educational app in Lambda and found this helpful...

    i was trying to implement this to my API but i couldnt even know if its working. When i do the steps and try to execute init.sh, it just pops and closes immediatly. Any recommendations?

    @reasondeploy
    I would attempt to implement the lambda calls manually, and aws setup manually
    I think a lot of the config and setup has changed for Lambda and the aws-cli, as it's very new, so it likely needs a lot of updates

    hey, how to upload this into aws??

    howdy, anyone ever see this error when running init.sh? Setting identity pool roles begin...
    Roles: {"unauthenticated":"arn:aws:iam::595140642240:role/Cognito_LambdAuthUnauth_Role","authenticated":"arn:aws:iam::595140642240:role/Cognito_LambdAuthAuth_Role"}
    usage: aws [options] <command> <subcommand> [<subcommand> ...] [parameters]
    To see help text, you can run:

    aws help
    aws <command> help
    aws <command> <subcommand> help
    aws: error: argument --identity-pool-id: expected one argument

    also 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_frozen_credentials'

    Hi, anyone in here?

    Hi. I was looking for a "Login as a service" solution, and investigated LambdAuth. I found it an excellent demo of how to automate within AWS, and how to use Lamdba functions, and integration with Cognito. However it is certainly not a production ready solution. If you need a "Login as a service" solution, and not just a demonstration of some AWS services, I recommend using Stormpath as a production solution (https://stormpath.com/). This gives multitenancy, authorisation, additional user data, real support, and more.

    @thond1st What were the issues you ran in to when integrating it with the Jaws framework?
    thond1st
    @thond1st
    Hi @kevinaud, Just backing up @VinzentE 's message. I also tried integrating it with Serverless framework(formerly JAWS) for offline testing but decided to drop it and use/test it online instead.
    kevinaud
    @kevinaud
    @thond1st hmm, maybe it's not worth the effort then. I was thinking of trying to port this over to JAWS to use in an app that I'm building, but if two have already tried and failed then maybe it's more trouble then it's worth

    @thond1st
    @kevinaud You could also try https://github.com/laardee/serverless-authentication-boilerplate. Haven't tried it yet because of other prioritized tasks outside Serverless framework but I think it would be a good start. My 2nd plan was to use the authentication boilerplate then get some concepts and maybe some codes from LambdAuth.

    If I have a flat HTML file (.ejs served out of Sails.js), what is the best way to send the Cognito JWTs with requests to the API that I've written (using cognito-express on the server side)? I've read a lot of conflicting things about sending it as a cookie, etc.
    (Also, if there's a topic more suited to general Cognito questions, I can't seem to find it.)

    Hey guys, for everybody who is searching an Authentication as a Service solution that works out of-the-box, check out my newest project https://github.com/squidfunk/terraform-aws-cognito-auth - It's inspired by LambdAuth but uses AWS Cognito User Pools under the hood. It comes with customizable email templates and a beautiful hosted UI. Hope that somebody finds this useful and happy to get some feedback, it's been a ton of work actually!
