@farnazj
@tleef Ah I see that helped! thanks!

@tleef
Cool, np
Any idea about my Not a feed error haha?
Thomas Lee
@tleef

I still get the error on the example rss 2.0 file linked on w3.org

https://validator.w3.org/feed/docs/rss2.html#sampleFiles

Thomas Lee
@tleef
LOL. Turns out node-feedparser is not the correct module. Works much better when you use feedparser haha.

@Aliyss
@tleef I've been searching for the exact same thing as farnazj. Thanks a lot you saved my month. Have been working on this one problem for some time now. Real life-saver.

@Kezzo
Is there a good solution for rss feeds that have meta information below all items? This is for example used in this one:
https://feed.pippa.io/public/shows/clublife-by-tiesto
As you can observe the <itunes:category> tag is at the end. When using feedparser it's not part of the meta object or in any of the article objects.

@Kezzo could you open an issue with a little more info (like how you're parsing the feeds, what you expect to happen that isn't happening)?
Jon Jelinski
@Kezzo
@danmactough Alright, will do! :)

Hi there!
I have tested node-feedparser on https://css-tricks.com/feed/ and it throughs an error not a feed
and the weird part is that when I tried some other parsers or rss everything works just fine..
can any one help to find out what can be the problem?
Dan MacTough
@danmactough

@iamfrntdv Hard to know for sure what is the problem, but sometimes a feed will be served compressed and you need to handle that - https://github.com/danmactough/node-feedparser/blob/master/examples/compressed.js. Also, some servers will serve HTML instead of a feed if they can't tell from your request headers that you want a feed: https://github.com/danmactough/node-feedparser/blob/master/examples/compressed.js#L11-L12

Hope that helps.

Is there something I might be missing?
Shriram Balaji
@Shriram-Balaji
Hey! Is there a way to parse older feeds using
Feedparser? This article specifies of how podcast publishers should implement that - https://podlove.org/paged-feeds/ . I'm not really sure of how to look up next / prev pages from the parsed content. I'm not sure what I'm missing, would be great if someone could help out? Thanks!

I am looking for a similar node-parser library in Ruby.
Can you give me a few suggestions?
