hi all, what's the best practices to filter test scenarios when running tests?
for instance cucumber uses tags that allows you to include or exclude from test execution

Hey

was trying to use that but if I got it correctly the tests can be specified to exclusively run if you attach .only() to the function call
but that doesn't allow me to specify which subset of scenarios I want to run
for instance, what I'm trying to do is to test different versions of an API with the same test base.
version 2.0 has different endpoints
so I would like to skip those tests when testing version 1.0

Oh right. Maybe put them in separate files and share common aspects via a required module?

but all the tests used for version 1.0 also work for 2.0 once API is backwards compatible
that works, in fact that's what we have now
ok, great. just curious to see if there was a different best practise for this case
thanks Daniel

No problem, hopefully that has helped...
