    oh hey, thanks for giving me access to the repo.
    I'm starting to think about and implement the new way to deal with the objects and such
    if you had any ideia that might come in hand :)
    I assume you still didn't do this because of your limited time?
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Hey
    Yeah, I am pretty busy right now. You also look for feedback on the Rust Reddit.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    "You also look for feedback on the Rust Reddit." I guess as soon as the new model is ready to at least make the existing examples? :)
    Also do you mind Travis Cl integration too? I've never used it also just like this gitter thing but it seems cool and is all over the Rust community
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    That is fine with me.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Great
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    This library is pretty small and young so I think it is a good idea to experiment some and try writing some small applications with whatever abstractions you come up with to see how well it works in practice.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Also I've noticed yet another young project called kiss-ui which forks from iup-sys, their approaches looks quite interesting, I'm trying to avoid looking there to produce a different methodology to see what works best as you just mentioned
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Oh nice, I have not looked into that. There are a lot of libraries popping up around the game community as well rust-gfx and Piston
    I have to get to sleep, I look forward to see what you come up with.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Just another question
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    sure
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    I'm not exactly sure on what to do if kiss-ui and iup-rust ends up being very very similar things?
    Should one project be dropped in favor for the other?
    I'm quite new to open source and all, I have always been a 'code for myself' guy :P
    so I'm not sure about all this
    (and since Rust is rising and the community is pretty open source oriented I had a go :) )
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    I would wait to see what happens. Sometimes it makes sense to merge projects or deprecate one in point people to the other or just keep them both if they server there own purposes. It also depends on how much effort people want to put into continuing to maintain something.
    Welcome to the community. There are a lot of great people in it.

    @thelink2012
    alright, thanks. Good night
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    goodnight

    hmm seems like I don't have enough privileges to integrate travis into the repo so whenever you find the time consider adding it. should be very easy, 4 step instructions are in your face just after you log in.
    3 steps*
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    oh actually not so easy, it needs to install the native iup indeed before compiling iup-rust
    I guess you can take kiss-ui/.travis.yml since it's already ready to go?
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Yeah, seems to work. I just removed the documentation part, but will add later.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Do you prefer to update the README yourself? I really have no idea what to write there.
    ehh why am I writing here instead of the issue?
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    hmm am I using the issue tracker correctly?
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Yeah. I think what you are doing is good. If you have general questions that don't fit well into a specific issue, I think this is a good place, otherwise it is helpful to create issues to keep threads of discussion in one place.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    You seem to no be Watching rust-iup-sys!? Well I have opened a issue over there, better notify you here since you won't receive a mail notification eh?
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Ohhh and by the way the issues I /cc'ed you in iup-rust itself, you didn't leave a opnion, what does that mean in general?
    Did I use /cc wrongly?
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Either I didn't read it, or read it but didn't have too much to say at the moment. I'll try to make more of an effort a point of getting back to you when you @mention me.
    I don't know what /cc is if that is a seperate thing from a mention.
    @thelink2012 I am now watching the repository, not sure why I was not watching from the start.
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    @thelink2012 would it be helpful if I add you as a co-owner for the iup-sys crate? Changes to the API should mean bumping the crate version and uploading the new version to crates.io. I can also make rust-iup into a crate and make you a co-owner if you want. I have been holding off for the time being because the crate is not very stable right now.
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    Sure, I also agree rust-iup itself is not so ready to be released.
    About the cc thing I'm not sure too, I just see it used a lot in some repos (like rust-lang/rust) itself to make the attention of some, and when searching it's meaning on google I got into this page https://guides.github.com/features/issues/

    which says

    We like to use the /cc syntax (an abbreviation for carbon copy) to include people in issues:
    /cc @kneath @jresig

    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    Do you already have a crates.io account?
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    not really, let me create one
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    ok
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    done
    David Campbell
    @dcampbell24
    ok added you
    Denilson das Mercês Amorim
    @thelink2012
    also the issues I required your attention are #17 tru #23 ('xcept for #18) if you lost the notifications
