I just cloned the examples(rc10) via Idea and trying to run MLPClassifierLinear, the program finishes and looks like it dies at model.fit... nothing gets displayed in console

need more details
does this happen every single time you run it?
other examples?

None of those run... even the XOR one
XOR one just displays
Number of parameters in layer 0: 12
Number of parameters in layer 1: 10
Total number of network parameters: 22

InteliJ
I created a small program to narrow it down
INDArray arr = Nd4j.create(300);
Nd4j.getBlasWrapper().axpy(1.0,arr,arr);
even this one does not work
there is System.out.println("done"); after the axpy call but that never prints
nothing in console

open a cmd window and type "where libopenblas.dll", "where libblas.dll", "where liblapack.dll" and "where mkl_rt.dll"
without quotes
tell me if anything is found
4 separate commands there

not found
those are in the jar?
Alex Black

that's to check if there's any issues with old/incompatible blas implementations in your environment
not found is good

and I assume you are using the examples without modification to the pom.xml or anything?
Punwire
@singh72641
Jun 29 2016 13:03
yup
git cloned via InteliJ, clean and Install, then run

@AlexDBlack
Jun 29 2016 13:04
hm, very odd
so there's got to be something different about your environment
but I have no idea yet what it is
already ruled out a few things

Alex Black
@AlexDBlack
Jun 29 2016 13:05
or native dependencies generally
Transforms.tanh(Nd4j.create(10,10));
try that intead of axpy

Jun 29 2016 13:06
ok, so definitely blas
@agibsonccc @saudet any ideas here? I assume there's got to be another blas impl. being picked up from somewhere on @singh72641's system
not sure how to find it though

There's most likely some mkl_rt.dll lying around. BTW, java.library.path does not always reflect the system library path, so you might want to try to set that to an empty string
@singh72641 System.setProperty("java.library.path", "") or -Djava.library.path="" on the command line, etc
