Multi-cell selection is useful.
I have a vision for step7, got the outline and a bunch of the guts already filled in so if you get a chance to check it out let me know if it's going in a direction that makes sense

I can't get the upgrade to work for my right now, oh well.
I like the step7 vision, seems right to me.

great. The only thing i'm wondering is, do you still want to provide the ".excluded_loci" output? My current strategy is to apply destructive filters to each locus, so writing out all filtered loci would be tricky. I can imagine somewhat rewriting the filters so they look like this:
def filter_something(data, loci):
    #do stuff
    return loci_to_keep, filtered_loci
Thus filtering the loci to keep, and accumulating the loci filtered out, but I don't want to do this if you think the .excluded_loci output isn't useful.
