May have expressed this before but i think we should set the default # cores for CLI to max out usage. Again, kind of on the assumption that newbs won't know or care about the -c flag, they just want shit to run fast, and anybody who wants to tune runtime will be savvy enough to use -c

Hmm, yeah i remember the problem. Figuring out when all engines have started.... suck.

Actually, with the new tricks I learned in ipyparallel I think I can make it add jobs as the engines become ready. So we can make it use all and make it start even faster than it does now... I think. Though I suppose we still need to know how many CPUs there will be to know how many chunks to break the files up into.
Because this workshop is next weekend I'm gonna be working on making sure the test data sets work. And polishing docs will be priority too. But I think it's looking good.
