A simple database ORM for PHP projects build on top of Doctrine.
sorry, just had a brief look at your ORM, how do you support sub-queries and joins?
Hello @romaninsh, sorry about the delay, I had a long time since I came here..
For now, the Repository class supports extension, you can extend the library Repository class and create your own fetch methods, by a new method you can access your doctrine dbal instance.
I’m looking for improve the repository support and if you have ideas about cool things that you think that would be nice to support, just open an issue in GitHub repo a make a pull request for us..
Just keep in mind that DataMonkey was created to be too simple as used to small and prototype projects, but offering support to be extended an improve big projects as the same.
HI @devsdmf . Thanks for getting back. I have looked into various solutions but I haven't found anything suitable and as a result went ahead with concept planning for a better DAL. I came to conclusion that Record Mapping introduces too many scalability problems and introduced two new concepts - DataSet and Action.
I have asked several people to review the concept and have got mostly positive feedback for the concept. I intend to go ahead and implement it within next few months under MIT license. I also have provided reasoning why existing ORM cannot be adopted.
I suppose I owe you a "Thank you" since looking through your ORM gave me some interesting ideas.
@romaninsh sounds great ! I’ll take look later in your spec and I’d like to discuss this better in the future, I always look to improve my libraries focusing it in performance and a great architecture design !
@romaninsh you’re idea is awesome ! So I want to contribute with your project since I have time, I just opened an issue at atk4/data repo to put the library into the PSR standards
