I'm having an interesting issue with Pokedex on iPhone 4s in the simulator. After constraining the next evolution ImageViews, I now don't see Height, PokeDex Id, Weight and Base Attack. Also, prior to those disappearing the Pokedex ID and Base Attack labels had text cut off but only on the 4s simulator.

@jtaylor05 . I had to fiddle a bunch with the constraints on that lesson to make it look like I wanted...and I still have to fiddle with it to make it look good in landscape, you probably need to mess with hugging priorities in the vertical stack group and the ones below it because the 4s is a smaller screen size and once you set a hight / width for the pictures something has to give.

I think it always is displayed on Playground output (as of the current version of Xcode). I think they do not display if you print to the console, but I rarely bother with that since it is easier to just ignore it there.
Jack Davis
@jackd942
Nov 16 2015 15:22 UTC
yeah…there’s a way to get rid of it, but you have to do it on each output…more trouble than it’s worth
you could look at the discussions on Udemy…I’m pretty sure somebody posted a way to get rid of it

@davidcopley

why would you want to get rid of it though
its part of the string, its an ascii character

[ MyHood App question]

Anyone know why we put this in the awake from nib rather than the configure cell function?

@spentak Hi, Mark. It seems the imageshack stops its free service. Are there any tutorials about how to use other alternatives like s3 bucket or Imgur?

@HardcoreIOS Just change the Podfile as the pic shows, and then run "bundle install" in the terminal. Which part are you confused?

You can take a look at System Preferences > Users & Groups … and check if your account can administer http://screencast.com/t/zjdLvFVLJzj
(Although, it is probably best that it doesn’t let you modify those system files… hmm)

Personally, I would try using RVM… but if you are not familiar with it, it might take even longer to get that working.
Also, you might already know this, but when you are typing a password in the terminal, it won’t let you know what you are typing, or that you are tying anything. There will be no feedback until you press return.

click the lock to make changes?
do I click that?
Felix Barros
@BluePhoenix
Nov 16 2015 16:57 UTC
Yeah, click the lock, but for that, you will also need an admin password. From looking at the screenshot, it seems you would need to ask user Abdullah Ehsan to enter their password.
(You can see the “Admin” user on the left list there)

Felix Barros

If the password was correct, then the lock should unlock, and let you change that checkbox

Nov 16 2015 17:11 UTC
@spentak I agree. But what I worry about is that I cannot use my projects anymore after one month without paying for the imageshake..
@spentak In addition, the api guide you use for the imageshake is actually from the code.google.com, rather than its official site. When I try to find some similar detailed guide for imgur or photobucket, I didn't find...

Hmm, not 100% sure here, but I would check your target in the Podfile. It seems your target name is not ‘pokedex-by-devslopes’, but I could be wrong.
From your screenshot it looks like it should be changed to ‘CocoPodsTest’ …

I have done an app, and I want to use many images from freepik.com.
Most of the images are required to give credit to the creator.
Where should I give credits? Is it just below the picture or app store page, I am not really sure.
Any ideas?
Felix Barros
@BluePhoenix
Nov 16 2015 18:50 UTC
@muratcakmak I’m not quite sure where one needs to put that. I know sometimes Apps have an “About” section, and that tends to include credits.
It would be nice to know what other people (that know more than I do) know abotu this.

Yeah…I think that helps. It especially drives home the point of what you’re doing when you’re unwrapping all of those objects and casting to a particular type
plus there are a few things to be done such as converting pressure in millibars to in/Hg and setting up an enum of wind directions/converting degrees to a particular direction. Good exercise
