[shane] @MattyBoy4444 - I'd also suggest switching the Doc version to latest - not the stable docs ...
MattyBoy
@MattyBoy4444
Thanks for all the help. It is up and running. Now, if I could get the damn Up Squared Intel UEFI board to net boot. I get the following error from tftp: TFTP: lpxelinux.0: transfer error: sending block 0: code=8, error: User aborted the transfer
Any suggestions. ARG!!!!

@rackneng
[greg] firewall?
MattyBoy
@MattyBoy4444
Na. They are on same.subnet
Connected to same switch
I saw there was some uefi issues in January. Has these been resolved and are the changes in the tip?
rackneng
@rackneng
[greg] They are in tip. Firewall on DRP endpoint
MattyBoy
@MattyBoy4444
It is a clean install of Ubuntu server 16.04 with No extras/lamp
rackneng
@rackneng
[greg] Some in the community have had issues with iptables putting in tftp blocking rules.
[greg] While not your current issue, a future issue will be that you need to unset the bootfile in the subnet (not needed in tip), because lpxelinux.0 doesn’t support uefi.
rackneng
@rackneng
[lae] digitalrebar/provision#684 I'm guessing the "DRP freezes up issue" I'm seeing is related to this? lol
rackneng
@rackneng
[daniel.bernier] hi anybody can explain why all the UX pages work perfectly EXCEPT for “machines” which since yesterday stays at “loading machines”
rackneng
@rackneng
[zehicle] @daniel.bernier if you are on the github URL then you may have hit a bug w/ a new feature. Login to https://portal.rackn.io -> that version of the UX is more stable
[zehicle] if you know how to look at your browser's dev tools, it would be helpful to know which network call(s) are failing on your system
[zehicle] @daniel.bernier do your machine run's gohai to get inventory information? that could also be the issue. the new code shows machine inventory values on the machines page
rackneng
@rackneng
[greg] Yes @lae
[greg] Likely. Working to cut 3.7 soon
rackneng
@rackneng
[daniel.bernier] @zehicle thanks switched to portal.rackn.io and issue was cleared. As per Gohai, only runs as part of discovery yet … haven’t played to much with it yet. Havin’ a ball with workflows right now =D
rackneng
@rackneng
[lae] is portal.rackn.io going to be set as the default for drp stable at least?
[shane] @lae yes
[shane] on v3.7.0 release that will be the default redirect and is the "production" UX endpoint
[lae] got it, that way it makes sense
[lae] and I guess tip would stay the same?
[shane] yep - a little bit of a chicken-and-egg issue getting the versioned UX Endpoints in place and ready to make the switch in the DRP side
[greg] tip will still point to portal. You can change portal to latest to get the better edge.
[lae] digitalrebar/provision#617 also this is affecting me as well, downgraded drpcli to 3.2.1 and it successfully changes it on a DRP 3.6.0 server
[shane] going forward; the github UX Endpoint will always be the "most recent (master) ... and probably a lil bit unstable"
rackneng
@rackneng
[shane] we'll control UX updates via the following flow:
rackn.github.io - latest master; unstable
latest.rackn.io - will be like DRP "tip" - generally stable latest features
portal.rackn.io - production released version

NOTICE > We have stopped the synchronization between this channel and the RackN Slack.
We believe that the Slack channel offers a more robust and interactive experience and are suggesting users request accounts at https://rackn.com/support/slack
We will monitor this channel but responses will be delayed.
MattyBoy
@MattyBoy4444
I don't mean to criticize, but making this move sure will limit participation from the open source community. Sure you probably get alot of noise in the channel, but we are the ones testing your product for you. I did submit an account request with slack, BTW
Just my 2 cents.
Rob Hirschfeld
@zehicle_twitter
thanks for you input - it's not about noise, it's about making sure the people who want to interact have a great experience. FWIW - Kubernetes is Slack only too.

Does DR Provision support leaving selinux set to enforcing on a real install? I'm trying to figure out why no machine folders are being created in '/var/lib/dr-provision/tftpboot/machines' with the proper compute.ks
I got my test box's successfully getting dhcp and pxe booting into sledgehammer but struggling after that part
spion06
@spion06
what's the turn around time on getting into the slack channel? I've been waiting a few days and haven't heard anything back
Rob Hirschfeld
@zehicle
@spion06 usually a few minutes!

learn3r
@learn3r
can anyone give me good view how it's differed from "CoreOs match box " ?
I like the DRB but seems it's complex to get start than "coreos match box"
maymann
@maymann
Does DRP support HP Blades (ProLiant BL460c Gen8) ?
Rob Hirschfeld
@zehicle
@maymann yes, RackN does offer support for HPE hardware. Typically, DRP will work on any system (really, any) and specific hardware configurations are handled by RackN plugins.
