@displague
You could try manipulating the files in your .vagrant directory to point to an existing linodeid. I haven't tried this myself.
.vagrant/machines/default/linode/action_provision
1.5:123456
.vagrant/machines/default/linode/creator_uid
1000
.vagrant/machines/default/linode/id
123456
.vagrant/machines/default/linode/index_uuid
uuid-uuid-uuid-uuid-uuid

Funny, that's the exact question I came here to ask. Didn't want to create a new box, just wanted to provision an existing one.

@displague where do i get everything but the ID from?
ie action_provision, creator_uid, index_uuid

I found this too late, I created an issue to ask that same question... feel free to close it and answer here. I've changed the node's default label and I'm not really sure where can I get all those ids (not sure what each one is really). This is the link to the aforementioned issue: displague/vagrant-linode#57 Thanks, and sorry for the duplicate, as I said, I found this later.

Heads up - The Linode API PlanIDs have changed. The vagrant-linode default is PlanID=1, which is now the 1024 plan instead of the 2048 plan.
