Hi, everyone. I am building the website using python/django now and almost done. After finished the project, I am going to build the mobile apps same as that website. I googled and noticed that can build the mobile app using python with kivy. Is it good to use kivy?

there is some mode in javascript
that allows you create desktop app and mobile app
like discord app, franz
@webscrapy-expert you can use the same approach as discord app, franz, telegram I don't know to much about but what they do is use javascript to encapsulate the whole web app into a desktop windows it works like a piece of chrome browser I believe I'm not so sure

@webscrapy-expert What I'm using is angular2 and I'm using django to serve the django rest API that combination is very interesting you just serve the data with django and angular for user interface so at the end you just focus in javascript and HTML

I'm looking for a good method to handle ordering declared by an user
let's say we have a todo list. the user can rearrange their todos however they like
the problem is, I don't want to update order fields for all todos. what if there is thousands of todos?
one solution is to store order on the parent model, e.g. TodoList.order
it would be a list of (todo_id, order) tuples
I still have to update order for all todos, but this time it's a single operation
another option would be to have a lot of wiggle room between two consecutive todos, e.g. 10 000, 20 000, 30 000
moving third todo on the first place would change it s order from 30k to 5k

I would still need to update order, but this way it's 1) deferred, and 2) doesn't affect all todos at the same time
are there any other options? ;)
