It seems like django.utils.importlib was removed in Django 1.9. You can try to uninstall django , django rest framework via pip and reinstall latest version again. May be it helps

@anhlt : Yup, importlib was been removed from Django 1.7+ version
but I googling then some people suggest to upgrade django-allauth . I try it but it failed =))

Is it possible, with Django Channels, to monitor for database changes? Or is it purely to monitor a client's change and push that through to other clients + save in in the DB?

@monajalal this should help http://www.tutorialspoint.com/jquery/effect-pulsate.htm
the part you might be interested by is :
$(document).ready(function() {

            $("#button").click(function(){
               $(".target").effect( "pulsate", {times:5}, 3000 );
            });

         });

I do not want an "extra" page , just go from the current page to the details details view page of the item clicked
Patrick Harding
@senorpatricio

https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.9/intro/tutorial03/
this is from the django docs. it has examples of how to create and open a detail page.
you’ll create your detail view with info from your model, then create a link to that detail page in your html markup
