I am looking for a job scheduling solution (e.g. let a task run every day at 7:00). Any recommendations?

I would like to have a solution that is embedded in my application, if at all possible

But you saying you want to add job scheduling like, a django command ?
You can create a bash script that is scheduled on cron, that uses your django application, and run a django command for example.

I am an utter noob django-wise. My background is java & node. Apparently django is not (running in) a kind of container, right?
In that case I understand the need of some external process triggering stuff.

Well, if something more simple you can just add the command itself to the cron like this # 5,15,25,35,45,55 * * * * /home/userhome/.virtualenvs/virtualenvname/bin/python /home/userpath/projectpath/manage.py command

@click-here Celery is also an external process, right?
guess I will start out as simple as possible using cron then. Thanks for your replies!

Why is it so hard to set and configure django to wamp on windows server 2012. I would like to install mysqlclient module becasue mySQLdb is not recommended anymore but it always shows error on command prompt. I got headache cuz of it ..
