git checkout develop
git pull origin develop
cd frontend && rm -rf vendor && composer install
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
You're sure it's not a fork?
doc-jay
@doc-jay
I pretty sure, just following these instructions -- https://github.com/twostairs/paperwork/wiki/Installation-----CentOS-Fedora
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
We no longer depend on adldap/adldap, we have moved to another package
So your composer.json is obsolete
doc-jay
@doc-jay
gotcha
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Copy the output of git remote -v
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Strange
doc-jay
@doc-jay
yeah!
I can start over again...
I'll start from scratch again
doc-jay
@doc-jay
yeah, so I installed again, and I still got the same 'adldap' error
with composer
doc-jay
@doc-jay
had to do this: git checkout develop
git pull origin develop
cd frontend && rm -rf vendor && composer install
doc-jay
@doc-jay
okay, so I have it installed again, ran 'php artisan paperwork:update' It completed with no errors.
mysql is giving me an error about a table that doesn't exist 'paperworkdb.sessions' (my database is named paperworkdb, and I have edited the 'database.php' file to reflect that). Do I still need to run 'php artisan migrate'? I thought that yesterday you had posted a fix that I needed to try to help me update my database schema?
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Yes I introduced database sessions today
doc-jay
@doc-jay
okay, so I hate to lose my notebooks and I know that this is still in development. Any way to convert my existing DB?
doc-jay
@doc-jay
could you help with this error in MYSQL?
[Illuminate\Database\QueryException]
SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1215 Cannot add foreign key constraint (SQL: alter table tags add constraint tags_user_id_foreign foreign key (user_id) references
users (id))
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Damn that needs to be fixed too I suppose
I'll file a patch today to if I' it's
Damned gitter for Android
I'll file a patch today to if I'll have time
So
It's already late today
doc-jay
@doc-jay
no problem, thanks for helping these last two days
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
These problems need fixing anyway, so thanks for reporting
doc-jay
@doc-jay
FYI, there is also this MYSQL error..
[Illuminate\Database\QueryException]
SQLSTATE[42S21]: Column already exists: 1060 Duplicate column name 'user_id' (SQL: alter table tags add user_id char(36) not null)
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
That's because big
Migration failed on the second step
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Added patch that splits alters from foreign keys
But you might need to comment out the pieces of migration that succeeded before
doc-jay
@doc-jay
okay, thanks - I'll try it out
doc-jay
@doc-jay
well, I did a git stash & then 'php artisan paperwork:update'
then I ran 'php artisan migrate' & I ran into the same error

[Illuminate\Database\QueryException]
SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1215 Cannot add foreign key constraint (SQL: alter table tags add constraint tags_user_id_foreign foreign key (user_id) references
users (id))

[PDOException]
SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1215 Cannot add foreign key constraint

@Baldrs
Post here output of show create table users
I fear your database affected with a change introduced in #66
If so, the update will be difficult
You will need to convert ALL of your ids into UUID
doc-jay
@doc-jay

mysql> use paperworkdb
Reading table information for completion of table and column names
You can turn off this feature to get a quicker startup with -A

Database changed
mysql> show create table users;

Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
Yeah that's exactly what I'm talking about
doc-jay
@doc-jay
well damn...
so, start over - scrap it?
Arseniy Lozicki
@Baldrs
It may be faster to copy-paste between installs than patch your database
I can send you empty database with latest structure
doc-jay
@doc-jay
okay, so do the copy in mysql from db old to db new?
