JavaScript is called JavaScript because Java was cool at that time.
And they needed a better name than ECMAScript.
This seems to be a good starting point, haven't watched it though.

Not yet, but it downloads the config files you need to insert into your game.
It's planned to make a downloadable version though... when I find time for that.

but the app itself runs 100% in your browser

start editing button probably isn't working
when a new user clicks start editing, may be send to preset load option.

Start editing is already fixed in my local version, I'm just waiting for cjroth/gulp-filelist#7 to be merged before I can finish some changes I made.
It's quite a good idea to encourage new people to use a already created preset though, will add that as an issue.
