    But I just want an array of books, like this...
    [
        {name: "The Lord of The Rings"},
        {name: "The Hobbit"},
        {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}, {…}
    ]
    It seems odd that I would expose information about how the database is structured to the front end.
    I've been going over the docs for a few hours, and I've not found out how this can be done yet. Perhaps I need to call the model from another endpoint and filter it that way? But I was hoping Flask-Appbuilder would have this functionality built in. What am I missing?

    I found that /?q=(keys:!(none)) removed some of the information that I did not need.

    Hi , I am using superset. I am unable to understand that I am getting result while browsing same api (api/v1/dashboard) from browser but cannot get while fetching from postman . I found that FAB is somehow assigning filters by default while calling from postman. I can I override default filters ?

    Hi Folks, I was looking for any example of Permission Cutomization
    Wish to club many small small granual permissions to something big and user friendly like "can_access_dashboard"
    Any hint or resource link would be a great help, thanks!

    I'm sure this is dead-simple, but I'm somehow being oblivious: how do you limit edit permissions for a user to only the stuff they own without limiting their view to the stuff other's create? using the base_filters example, even the admin can't see stuff users create.

    @kharidiron not sure if this is the best way, but you could have a custom add template and do something like: {% if user_owns_the_thing %} {{ show_edit_template() }} {% else %} {{ say_no() }} {% endif %}

    Just picked up an app I built for my IT team some time back, to try to add some features, and while it runs fine, when I try to log in with my admin user, I just get: AttributeError: 'bool' object has no attribute 'login_count' - has anyone encountered this before?
    I checked on the repo issues and saw someone else had encountered it but it seemed to be closed as stale without any relevant updates
    I'm running in py3 now instead of py2 so that may be related

    Turns out i caught the dumb, and i have a role in use for logged-in users, that wasn't defined in the app. Apparently I lost that chunk of code. :D

    has_access_pi always returns access denied
    I have verified that that role is added to the user

    Howdy! I am trying to create a ModelView for a model in my app, and I have gone as far as to create a custom form with limited fields and I cannot seem to get past: TypeError: 'UnboundField' object is not callable
    DACRepair
    @DACRepair
    Update: I found it was due to the IntegerField not working correctly.

    I have an "Employee" view. I'm trying to do something when an employee is added with that specific employee. Lets say that wen an employee is added I want to send an email to the employee that was added. I've looked at the post_add function but I don't see it triggering after the employee is added
    Any ideas?
    Andres Moreno
    @moqca
    figured it out with pre_add(self, item) where item is the added record

    I was asking myself when working with flask login what was your idea if you want to strore additional user related data not in the session but in the db (like configs, properties etc). Creating own tables with ref to the user id and accessing the data via a model or is there something like the session object for presistent data ?
    1 reply
    or should i go with the session object and persist this?

    It would be super grateful if FAB could have a copy record function, then user can press it, change a little bit and save.

    Hello everyone, I am new to FAB and liking it so far. There are several things I want to customize in the app I am developing. Is there any way I can substitute the "F.A.B." banner that appears at the top bar? Also, how can I customize the tables (the alignment of the headers, the width of the columns) that default "List" function generates?
