@ne0fhyk, I've got a raspberry pi that can create a wifi accesspoint and output h264 video over UDP. Do you think the "Solo video" feature of Tower will just display the video if I send the h264 video to the correct port? Do I need to be careful about the video height/width? Which port should I send the video to? 14550?

@rmackay9 yep just throw a stream that is RTP at it http://dev.3dr.com/concept-video.html
The decoding is done in the Android Video widget
^^^ That line looks like it starts listening for data from port 5600 which is the video stream.
Which would measn that verifies what is written in the .sdp file on 3dr dev site

@billbonney @rmackay9 Tower also support decoding of custom h264 video sent over udp: https://github.com/DroidPlanner/Tower/wiki/Custom-video-stream
That wiki shows how to send video data over an arbitrary port from a custom gstreamer pipeline on a ubuntu machine to Tower on the android device.

Is there a best practice for knowing that Solo has arrived at a location using the ControlAPI goTo method? I'm seeing that the onSuccess method never gets called. I assumed that it would get called when Solo gets to the location, but that may be an incorrect assumption. Should we be doing something like this example in DroneKit python? https://github.com/dronekit/dronekit-python/blob/master/examples/guided_set_speed_yaw/guided_set_speed_yaw.py#L321 Thx.

@dbaldwin yea, that would be the correct way to detect that the vehicle has arrived.

@ne0fhyk Great we will take that approach. Thanks for the prompt reply!

@dbaldwin Also instead of creating a while loop like in DroneKit python, you can wait for the broadcast AttributeEvent.GPS_POSITION which will update the client when the vehicle moves

@chaviw that's a great tip. We were considering a background loop to listen for changes, but this seems to be much cleaner. We'll give it a test.

they should be different. master reflects the latest in production (play store), while develop is the current bleeding edge :)
