I start to not like gdb anymore :-P. I tried the new jit interface, and I can now get a pretty sym name. But I'm more interested in getting the backtrace correct but gdb never calls the other callbacks (just the one for the sym name not for unwinding etc) :-(. So the call stack is still wrong just the first entry has the correct name

While I see why it's useful and agree that it's a good change to have the external tests in a separate repo. but still having to update two repos for test changes is annoying :-(.

we could also put the submodules back in the repo and try to make the tester smart enough to not run the tests if you didn't check out the submodules
and now we (temporarily) have this situation where the code in the test suite doesn't correspond to the code in pyston and no one else can make edits to the test suite until the main pr lands
bleh ok I think I'll move it back

it's really unfortunate that this is such a mess...
on the other hand at least in the last weeks we very rarely modified the testsuite so this may not be such a large issue
