I think this is a good time to do the next round of planning for the Pyston project
I'm thinking for the next month and the next year as a whole
I put together a brainstorming doc for things that we think should be prioritized or not
please take a look if you have any thoughts :) I tried to organize the doc a little bit, but feel free to put whatever thoughts you have in there

Could you put publish a paper on there? I'd love to see more of this work written up

That feels aspirational, but I like it :)

@kmod have you thought at all about supporting cython?
i ask mostly out of selfishness due to the large amount of cython code in the codebases i contribute to

hey @rudi-c / @Daetalus , what's the status of the numpy PRs?
I'm looking at #1014 again right now but I'm not sure what the status of it is

@ngoldbaum I had to disable the part where it's generating traceback entries for cython generated stuff (but should be able to enable it again soon). And I did not run any test except for running lxml and numpy (but not all tests pass currently).

So it would definitely be a good idea to get a cython integration test to make sure what works and what not...

@kmod , regards the NumPy PRs. I not touch the NumPy patching itself. Just fix the problems which founded by check NumPy tests in my local machine.
I'm not related with #1014, but that PR is outdated, and was seperated into two PRs: #1027 and #1028, as you can see. #1027 was merged. #1028 is for the tp_new stuff.
