There's ton of data on http://speed.pyston.org/comparison/ - but I'm finding it hard to get a sensible set of benchmarks and executables for an overview of performance. I'm not sure which are the latest executables even. Can anyone suggest something?

@corona10 CompilerType.isFitBy(runtime_type) checks whether the compiler type and the runtime type match
specifically it's for cases like "we have a specialization of this function for these abstract types, and we received these arguments; can we use the specialization?"
