    lavamind on Freenode I'm really at a loss
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    lavamind on Freenode I'm tracking it down to a session issue
    lavamind on Freenode sessions aren't being added to the sessions table
    lavamind on Freenode I can see session files in /var/lib/php/sessions being created, but those are empty
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    lavamind on Freenode my problem was that sessions.save_handler in pool config was hardwired using php_admin_value to "file"
    lavamind on Freenode so drupal couldn't register its own handlers

    necom on Freenode howdy, folks.. happy online drupalcon day
    necom on Freenode Just in case anyone knows, I'll post here out of desperation-ish, after a ton of research:
    necom on Freenode is there any way to place a View block with contextual filters into a freakin' layout? I used to D7 this w/ Panels Views w/ Page Manager, but can't solve it in D9 transition.
    necom on Freenode there's a D8/9 Page Manager module but it's outdated and not supported by security.. haven't gotten it to work yet either. "grrr" and such.
    necom on Freenode Thx for any ideas

    necom on Freenode This purports to do what I want, but also not covered by security and last update 2019: https://www.drupal.org/project/embed_view_block

    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    necom on Freenode that's the Frontpage view, edited here: /admin/structure/views/view/frontpage
    necom on Freenode ttys000, ^
    ttys000 on Freenode thanks
    necom on Freenode btw, you can change the default front page to something else here: /admin/config/system/site-information

    ttys000 on Freenode can i just delete the view?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    necom on Freenode ttys000, sure, it's just an included view as far as I know
    necom on Freenode just comes w/ default install and only has the Page and Block variants unless you're using the RSS feed - /admin/structure/views
    ttys000 on Freenode does not seem possible to delete it
    ttys000 on Freenode i have blocked it at the nginx proxy level instead.
    ttys000 on Freenode thanks for your help

    acovrig on Freenode I'm trying to host a Drupal instance, an admin did something and now the logs show "Error: Call to a member function setFormClass() on null in /opt/drupal/web/core/modules/settings_tray/settings_tray.module on line 99" - he's thinking "drush en block" will fix it; so we tried "compoer global require drush/drush" and now it says "Class
    acovrig on Freenode 'Drush\Log\DrushLog' not found in /opt/drupal/web/core/lib/Drupal/Component/DependencyInjection/Container.php" - I can't run "composer require drush/drush" as I get a memory error. Any ideas?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    arbocenc[m] on Freenode Use a local development instance (for example using ddev) and just deploy changes on production
    arbocenc[m] on Freenode Thus, you have not memory errors running composer
    arbocenc[m] on Freenode (suposing your local computer has enough memory, but I supose it)

    acovrig on Freenode It's running in docker on an ubuntu VM in a cluster
    acovrig on Freenode I've never seen the VM go below 4/16G used RAM, so I feel like RAM isn't the actual issue
    acovrig on Freenode The main issue is the "Class 'Drush\Log\DrushLog' not found" error at the moment, I haven't found a solution other than starting over, is that what I need to do here?

    hetii on Freenode Hello :)
    hetii on Freenode I have drupal instance with elasticsearch_helper that have some indexes but each time when I try search something I get such error:
    hetii on Freenode "type": "illegal_argument_exception",
    hetii on Freenode "reason": "Text fields are not optimised for operations that require per-document field data like aggregations and sorting, so these operations are disabled by default. Please use a keyword field instead. Alternatively, set fielddata=true on [bundle] in order to load field data by uninverting the inverted index. Note that this can use significant memory."

    hetii on Freenode Hello
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    joshua48 on Freenode hi everyone. i have some major issue. using a shared hosting server we have around 20+ sites on the same multi-site drupal 7 installation... now - lately it consumes tones of RAM and might cause overload unless we restart the mySQL service... how can we resolve this issue?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    arbocenc[m] on Freenode joshua48: maybe it would be interesting if you have more info about what mysql queries / features are wasting your RAM...
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    joshua48 on Freenode all of our sites uses views alot! and some of them are commerce sites (D7). it seems the commerce sites creates large cache_form tables and we managed to handle it with the DB optimization module... the problem is we don't really know what cause this overload of RAM
    joshua48 on Freenode we thought it might be related to the settings.php of many of these sites having more than 1024M RAM set in this file... and we try now to see if it works
    joshua48 on Freenode whenever our host restart our mySQL service for us - we see it on 2-3GB RAM and throughout the day it goes up and up to 9+ and we don't see the reason
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    joshua48 on Freenode calbasi - it seems to be related to drupal commerce queries but i'm not sure
    joshua48 on Freenode calbasi - the hosting company support says its about cache_form tables but i think it might be something else
    arbocenc[m] on Freenode Are you using cache? Are views cached?
    matrixbot
    @matrixbot
    joshua48 on Freenode i am using cache is. some of the sites might use views cache
