hello, do you have an idea why i can't import this file? it seems ok from the sourcecode https://www.dropbox.com/s/6rbaj6dq5z2crpu/process.bpmn?dl=0

I’ll have a look…

It’s a BPMN validation error:

Attribute 'targetRef' must appear on element 'sequenceFlow'

i'll try to fix it by hand then
thanks

That’s odd, because this looks like an export from Signavio Workflow, so there might be a BPMN export bug

i think the guy exported from there. beacuse i got a xml file

The offending sequenceFlow looks like it was bogus, leaving this:
Interesting task naming, by the way: makes me wonder why the questions need nursing, and why the note needs doctoring :)

i know. role naming in this case. btw yesterday during rush time (17:00 Rome time) the system started to stuck. don't know if it was the connection or the load on the server

(naming being a favourite topic of mine, at which I cheat by being a native English speaker)
I don’t know of anything that would have caused performance issues at 17:00 yesterday; perhaps one of the others has an idea.

not naming. exporting/editing processes was not working much

we definitely had a load spike on the server around 17 h

i see, one thing. do you have a docker of effektif or a way to easility deploy it somewhere? probably it's against your biz model, but it's open source. so ideally i can download and deploy it, right?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
May 26 2016 12:25
yes you can do that. though bare in mind that the open source is just the engine. the product is much more then only the engine

so there's no modeler? i was thinking for next exam (probaly year) to tell the student to run the tool on their machine so there will be no problem with connection etc. but there's time for that
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens

easiest to fix is their connection :) the modeler is part of our product, not of the open source

hmm, we should really find a way to show BPMN validation errors in the UI

Same error as last time:

Attribute 'targetRef' must appear on element 'sequenceFlow'

Stefano
@esseti
May 26 2016 12:28
@tombaeyens ok.
@hilton it's actually a process exported from the tool
Peter Hilton
@hilton
May 26 2016 12:29
Yes, so there must be an export bug.
Stefano
@esseti
May 26 2016 12:29
well, the student was not able to update the process. so maybe something got stuck while modeling and then saved in a strange way
Peter Hilton
@hilton
May 26 2016 12:29
Any chance of getting a screenshot of its process diagram before export?
Stefano
@esseti
May 26 2016 12:30
i asked for that but in this case he wasn't able to make it
Peter Hilton
@hilton

Right: there must be something unexpected about the process model, but it’s hard to guess what that might be, in order to reproduce the issue.
