hello, one quick question. in the spreedsheet task you save these infos in the bpmn file <e:account id="IDACCOUNT"/> <e:spreadsheetId>IDFILE</e:spreadsheetId>
i can find the IDFILE, but how can i find the IDACCOUNT? beacuse i want to create a script to change the data in the process so i can import the process and have the task filled in..
Stefano
@esseti
i found the data from another file. the fact is that the import is not working with the spreadsheet data. even if i import a process that i just exported the conf are reset
Stefano
@esseti
helo, i tried again today. I created a process with just a google spreadsheet task. i export it and then import it. The settings of the task are not saved. is it just me?
Christian Wiggert
@SilentGert
hi, sorry for the delay, I'll have a look
Christian Wiggert
@SilentGert
@esseti I can confirm it is a bug. We'll fix it with the next bigger release, which is probably going to be by the end of the week.

Whether there is the structure diagram of effektif or not.

Morning guys!
good to be back :)

hi all devs out there, can someone imagine how effektif could be used in a relational database?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
@teamc_gm_twitter Not sure what you mean. Can you clarify your question?
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
i'd like to implement effektif as workflow engine in a java environment - but the problem is, that there is no mongo db availible. how would i handle this?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
effektif only works with mongo. relational db is not an option
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
what does mongo db mainly do? does it the CRUD operation services?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
it stores the workflows and workflow instances and other things
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
thx a lot, tom! please let me ask you one last question: do you see any chance/possibility to store that information to another database, for example by JPA?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
imo, that is not possible without a huge refactoring. i don't think a refactoring like that is possible given our roadmap.
Peter Hilton
@hilton
You’re both talking about the hosted cloud service, now called Signavio Workflow, and not the open-source Effektif engine right?
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
i was talking about the effektif open source engine
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
hi Peter, i am talking about the open-source effektif engine, too. i would like to adapt the functionality and use those workflow objects - but in a relational database, like oracle mssql or something like that.
Peter Hilton
@hilton
Right, just checking. Then you would indeed have to do lots of customisation, by writing your own JPA/SQL-backed implementations of the datastore interfaces, like WorkflowStore and WorkflowInstanceStore. As Tom says, that’s not something we’re planning to do ourselves.
@teamc_gm_twitter I’m curious: why don’t you want to run on MongoDB?
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
@hilton the reason is, that we develop our solution on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform. There are only HANA or Sybase ASE availible.
Peter Hilton
@hilton
Okay, interesting, thanks.
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
Would be great to have HANA support, though a big challenge i think.
M. Günter
@teamc_gm_twitter
I have to say thanks for your both responses. I will dive into the code maybe during next week and check out how effektif works internally and how i could implement an JPA based solution on top of it. thanks for the classes to start with!
@tombaeyens i fully agree with you! maybe we can find a way to do it.
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
keep us posted on how your research is going. love to hear about it

"com.effektif.workflow.impl.configuration.Plugin" is not
Tom Baeyens
@tombaeyens
you have to use the pluggable interfaces / base classes directly now
ActivityType, DataType etc
and ensure the classnames are mentioned in the appropriate META-INF/services/... files

@esseti
hello, do you have an idea why i can't import this file? it seems ok from the sourcecode https://www.dropbox.com/s/6rbaj6dq5z2crpu/process.bpmn?dl=0
Peter Hilton
@hilton
I’ll have a look…
Peter Hilton
@hilton

It’s a BPMN validation error:

Attribute 'targetRef' must appear on element 'sequenceFlow'

Stefano
@esseti
i'll try to fix it by hand then
thanks
Peter Hilton
@hilton
That’s odd, because this looks like an export from Signavio Workflow, so there might be a BPMN export bug
Stefano
@esseti
i think the guy exported from there. beacuse i got a xml file
Peter Hilton
@hilton
The offending sequenceFlow looks like it was bogus, leaving this:
Interesting task naming, by the way: makes me wonder why the questions need nursing, and why the note needs doctoring :)
Stefano
@esseti
i know. role naming in this case. btw yesterday during rush time (17:00 Rome time) the system started to stuck. don't know if it was the connection or the load on the server
