    "Name your favourite language (for whatever reason) and also your desert island language - the one you'd choose if you were only to have that to play with for the foreseeable future."

    Me - favourite == Java; desert island == Rust
    I've not had any chance to look at Rust, but it seems to tick lots of boxes, and I'd have something to get my teeth into.
