    @enjalot whats new in tributary? Haven't had the time to tinker with it in the last 8 months or so.

    @georules
    I mocked up a loop timeout for potential infinite loops -- was hoping to clean up that code soon. I was thinking about tackling the new design mockups we talked about months ago if I find some spare time.

    @enjalot
    yeah man, honestly i haven’t had time to tinker for the last 8 months either @bollig
    i realized recently that some of the user stats arent working anymore. i think its because github changed all gists to be uuids instead of numbers
    and i think im excluding uuids from reporting to avoid private gists
    (stupid way to exclude, should just check private property)
    also the animation stuff doesn’t seem to be working all of the sudden. sliders/play button =\

    @georules
    I think the sliders in the rendered view aren't working for the same issue that I fixed in inlet: enjalot/Inlet#14
    Ian Johnson
    @enjalot
    oh damn, thanks for pointing that out
    sorry ive been so disconnected
    but we merged that in? the problem i have is that the play buttons arent even showing up
    i’ll have to set aside a couple hours to look into this soon

    @georules
    I've noted sliders in code editing work -- from inlet. I've noted some sliders in the visualization view do not. however this works on both: http://tributary.io/inlet/11104436 but the sliders in the visualization in this one do not: http://tributary.io/inlet/11104408

    @enjalot
    thanks, that helps!

    @georules
    yeah, I was looking into that one time before, but I forgot what/if I figured out anything. it's probably related to the old inlet problem that was resovled tho

    @zeffii
    ah shjucks connect-mongo and monodb node packages don't include windwoes.

    @zeffii
    npm ERR! notsup Not compatible with your operating system or architecture: mongodb@0.9.9 perfect.
    Dealga McArdle
    @zeffii
    hmm latest mongodb package doesn't through that error, but a dependancy does.. kerberos :(

    @enjalot
    :(

    yeah, there no real hope for me without a Mac to get that to run.
    mostly i wanted to have default support for codemirror plugins
    • move current line up/down
    • move selection up/down
    • comment / uncomment selection
    bam. that's about it.
    actually, maybe
    • duplicate selection (shift+D) or something would be nice too
    Ian Johnson
    @enjalot
    hmm
    @zeffii do you have access to a VM or a linux server?
    digitalocean you can make a 5$/mo linux server
    but if you dont already know linux than its quite the investment for learning =\
    you could also comment out everything mongo related to make it run locally
    you wouldnt be able to save stuff locally, but you could still render the frontend and experiment with that
    Dealga McArdle
    @zeffii
    that's a good point, yes I do have access to a linux server. Didn't think of installing tributary on it for testing.

    May be a dumb question, but I am looking for a room that discusses developing interactive maps with D3.js, and this is the closest match I could find....am I in the right place?
