so - wildly inappropriate place for this, but hey - just call me wildly inappropriate. Also I am shameless asking for help
situation - converting a ruby on rails app to Scala as quick as possible
need to keep data, database, customers running and happy
rails has encrypted passwords for the users and admins
being rails everything is freaking hidden

I think they used BCrypt
In which case you can probably use https://github.com/t3hnar/scala-bcrypt

I “think so”, I have no idea what has changed since then :p. If the people that made that RoR app had basic understanding in security, it should be BCrypt
You would probably have to look at the source code
