    Is insurance management included?
    we haven’t got to start the Insurance yet.

    I have a requirement to use ERPNEXT healthcare to manage /identify available beds at hospitals using our erpnext implementation. Looking for ideas how to do this so we can find availability of beds, Xray machines, service slots at different hospitals

    When creating a Role Profile for a Healthcare Practitioner which Roles are required? Does Healthcare Administrator, Physician, Laboratory User, LabTest Approver, Employee and Item Manager completely cover a Healthcare Practitioner in a small clinic? They will also create lab tests, Order stock and create patient invoices.
    system19
    @system19
    Workflow Suggestion: Patient Medical Record should be viewable from within the Patient Doctype. Currently the Healthcare Practitioner has to leave the Patient Doctype to view the Patients medical history. This disrupts Practitioner workflow and adds unesercery steps. Patient History should be available in the Patient DocType as a child table. If data request is going to be too large Then just display the date and procedure title. Clicking on the procedure title will link through to the full procedure. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Using the workflow suggestion above would allow us to drop the medical and surgery history fields currently displayed in the patient Doctype.
    system19
    @system19
    If the above Patient Workflow Suggestion creates to many permissions issues. For example a Clinic receptionist may need to view basic Patient data but not entire Patient medical history. Could it be implemented that when "view medical record" is clicked from within the Patient Doctype that the current patients medical record is auto selected and auto loaded?

    @akurungadam

    Hi Rick, our thought was to apply just the “Physician” role. From my undertanding for all relevant documents Physician has read access which I guess will good enough.

    Regarding the workflow - the current implementation presumes that the Practitioner will act mostly on Appointment and Encounter documents which consultation. The patient document does not hold much data and is treated as the master for all other transactable documents to link to. In this setup, Practitioenr wouldnt really be looking at the Patient document, almost all details are featched to the Encounter on Patient selection. For Medical records, he may want to navigate teo the page using View > Medical Record button in Encounter. Said that, do let us know if that’s a requirement, we can possiby load an html field with paginated health history.

    BTW, the medical record is currently broken, we are fixing it soon
    and by using View > Medical record, the patient is auto selected. we can also cosider opeing the record in a blank tab

    @akurungadam

    also the v11 documentation kind of details on the mapped workflows. it would mostly be the reception creating the Patient document. and Appointments too. Practitioner looks up appointments and records the encounter and also orders investigations, medication or procedures.

    all the data is made available for billing by Sales Invoice > Get Items > Healthcare services / Prescriptions

    laboratory -
    You can trigger lab test to crete automatically by configuring the system to create Lab Tests on Invoice Submit making the lab technician to take over.

    Medications -
    Get Items from Prescription will get all prescribed medicines with the Accounts Users not having to lok up Encounter

    Procedure -
    Can be booked via appointments by using the Get Prescribed Procedures button. From Appointment, the practitioner can create Procedure. HTis can be billed again using the Get Items > Healthcare services

    hope this helps, thanks. and glad to have you back active on Healthcare :)

    In the current implementation is it possible to manage multiple hospitals ( or chain of hsopitals )
    Anoop
    @akurungadam
    of course, erpnext is multicompany and you can make use of all default features.

    Hi. I am a PhD researcher working at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Although diagnostics labs are included, I can't find a way to input the actual protocol. In most organizations, the protocol to conduct a laboratory test is established and documented.
    I can write everything down in a Text field but was looking for a better solution. It is a lot like writing a recipe for a dish. One has to document the ingredients, their quantity, conditions, etc.
    Right now, although the Lab reports are integrated, a technician in a lab will have to document the Laboratory Protocol somewhere else.

    smartehis.com has a "Laboratory procedures" section in the demo. How does that work?
    Anoop
    @akurungadam
    Hi @saurabh2804_gitlab glad to know about your interest in ERPNext Healthcare. At the moment we only have the option to enter, print and bill Lab Test results. If you can share more details on what you are looking for we’ll be happy to get that added. I would suggest you to create issues on GitHub -

    @saurabh2804_gitlab
    @akurungadam I will do that. What I meant is that there should be a way to enter lab protocols. Protocols would be a lot like a recipe.e.g. Add x unit of reaget A, add y unit of Reagent B. Keep at Z temperature for a specific time. Then add some other reagent. We can currently do all this in the Text field but it doesn't seem like an elegant solution.

    This is what a PCR protocol looks like from within the Thermocycler (PCR) software.

    Hi team- I need help configuring billing on my Erpnext healthcare implementation. Open to getting someone to log into my setup and configure
    1. Patient checks in and register details to enroll him/her in the system
    2. Patient goes to vital signs section to be pre-tested for Blood pressure etc
    3. Patient goes to the Physician/Doctor for treatment/Consultation (There is a fee/charge for this).
    4. Patient needs to go to the lab for testing (There is a fee/charge for this).
    5. Labtests are complete and patient goes back to the Doctor for consultation/diagnosis.
    6. Pharmacist prescribes drugs as directed by the Doctors Diagnosis (There is a fee/charge for the meds prescribed if sold by the doctor if the prescription is sent to be filled at an outside pharmacy then no charge).
      With this when we create the sales invoices we are hoping to collect all the charged items – I know healthcare has a Get items from Healthcare services or pharmacy but we cant seem to pull any details as we have incorrectly configured this in my opinion.
    7. Consultation fee:
    8. Lab test Fees:
    9. Drugs/Medicines: For all the medicines prescribed, in stock
      Any takers who can help configure this for us?

    Hello, where i can find healthcare current roadmap?
    nando
    @nandoschneider
    Hello, I would like to get an idea of how well ERPNext healthcare is doing in production. Therefore I would like to get in contact with people who run their hospitals or their medical practices with ERPNext Healthcare. It would be great to get information about the size of the hospital or practice, the number of doctors and patients and the time took to train the team to work with ERPNext healthcare.

    @nandoschneider Hey Nando, I am not using currently ERPNext healthcare but I am using ERPNext for accounting at the Adventist Hospital of Waterloo, Sierra Leone. We have 45 beds, 2 doctors and our services are Lab, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Surgery, Outpatient and Admissions. I trained 3 staff members in around 20 days, some of them without experience in computers, so ERPNext is very user-friendly. I would like also to hear experiences from other people!
