My new baby.
Without any documentation :-(
With ESP-12F. Wherever the difference is. Only see a different antenna.
On the board there is a LDO and a RGB-LED. Nice gimmicks and a smaller size than the "normal" NodeMCU.
Will test it the next days.

yes the different antenna is basically the only difference between E and F afaik
should give longer range

But the metal switchbutton on the other side of the pcb will kill this benefit ;-)

Beware, there's a variant with an stm8s003 inside and no ability to access the esp
*limited, not no.

Dec 24 2015 14:26
they have a few
some of them must be quite recent though cos htey're not in the mac address databases yet, as you say
some of mine are 5c:cf:7f too

Dec 24 2015 14:27
if mac address are meant to be unique, why is there an option to change it in thesdk?
Chris Elsworth
@celsworth
Dec 24 2015 14:27
most network cards let you change the mac, this is nothing special
they're not anyway, a mac only has to be unique on the lan it is on
macs serve no purpose beyond the immediate lan, ie nothing on the internet can see or care what your mac is

@crosofg
Dec 24 2015 14:28
ok got it. I though it has to be unique globally!!

@crosofg you have to be able to change MAC, ie interface bonding or teaming
