Hello, anyone know if IGRR or MeNoDev are around? I was asked to post a stack trace from the 8266 occurring when a multicast session is attempted. Not exactly sure where to post the stack trace here....

I am around, but this seems more in @igrr 's ballpark. He is playing with gcc on windows and your trace points there.

BTW, @Tinker1 , @IGRR and @me-no-dev , it seems that this stacktrace has been seen a lot by different users trying to do UDP Multicast. I've asked many users to provide stacktrace on the forum, and it always look similar. This seems to have been introduced in 2.2.0 ...

@martinayotte have you noticed it to be windows related?

@me-no-dev , I didn't faced the issue personally, since I'm not using UDP. I've just testimony what several threads figured out when I was asking users to provide decoded stacktraces ...

@Tinker1 @martinayotte @me-no-dev This is the same as #1826. It will be resolved once we make the switch to gcc-built LwIP (#1926)
Not a Windows-specific issue btw (see this comment — same crash, but on Linux)
I'll try to find some time to push these changes today. Been preoccupied with libstdc++ on the ESP32, but hopefully will finish that stuff today.

@igrr , Oh ! ESP32 ! does someone gently gave you his own ESP31 Beta or is that Espressif feel that it is time to start shipping newer ESP32 ? :-)

Congrat ! :-) ... But still at St-Peterbourgs, or did you move in Far East ? Did you meet Sprite_tm ?
Ivan Grokhotkov
@igrr
May 03 2016 02:17
Sprite_tm sits right across my desk :)

(I was suspecting that when you announce License switch)
Is Sprite_tm is at St-Peterbourg too, or both of you moved in China ?

as far as libstdc++ is concerned, the difference between the 31 and 32 is mostly non-existent. So should work on 31's as well.
No, we're both in Shanghai

BTW, do you will Officially disclose this announcement on the Forum ? (ie.: probably under Richard "ESP Heros" thread)

Never liked vodka, so can not really complain about that :)

Then, Poire William or Prunelle ? (those are my best) ;-)
(on another subject : you probably remember Squonk, we didn't got any news from him since awhile. Are you in touch with him ?)
Ivan Grokhotkov
@igrr
May 03 2016 02:30
No, i haven't been in touch with him. I assumed he drifted off into some other new and interesting area.

He is been leading the engineering for the Domino.io, so he had moved to China too, from France, but after Kickstarter campaign finished, no more public apparence ...
(Not true in fact, he subscribed to ESP32 forum, and posted 1 or 2 times, then silence ! I hope he is going well ...)

@igrr so now my joke about hiring better devs is no joke, they did 😆

I have a question: will there be some convenient wrapping function for light sleep now that there is some wakeup callback function support in the latest SDK? I can't really seem to get it to work directly, so anything that makes sleep easier would be appreciated. ;)

@igrr Congrats! BTW asking for a friend, who'd be a good person to contact at Espressif regarding HomeKit support in the SDK? I've been told they're working on it, just want to know if it's still in progress.

@igrr, any chance they will release more sources or docs to avoid the need for most of the closed parts? It would be nice to have a better integrated system where we can better control the behavior and interaction of the components.
