@xbary WiFiServer sketch: heap 46872 in 2.2.0, 46440 in 2.3.0. I'm not seeing 3kb difference.

you're not confusing this with current git version, are you? in git version it's 43936, which is indeed 3kb less.

just use the current version of the GIT, maybe this is the cause. Updates the copying of the GIT to the catalog ... I need to check other libraries and these external libraries.

do we have to call yield() in loop() or is it ok to just drop out of loop() ?
Clemens Kirchgatterer
@everslick

ok, looks if we have to as loop_wrapper() does not yield() for us

huh? when loop_wrapper returns, control of execution is returned to the scheduler.
so no, you don't have to yield at the end of the loop

Im trying to extract RSA from axtls to use it to verfiy signatures. Did anyone already tried that?
Im a little confused - there is a function in the crypto.h header "RSA_sign_verify" but defined nowhere in the axtls ?

No prob to use the *encrypt/decrypt to implement that - just wondering why there is no implementation or am I missing something?

@comino just out of curiosity, are you doing this in the context of #2103, or as a separate undertaking?

Want to implement a secure file sync between server and esp
This message was deleted
But thats a longer shot for me Im afraid :/. Maybe if I get the verfication working
I have it some kind of working with a 3rd party library, but would prefere to use axtls
Same for AES

This function was once present in axTLS, but apparently removed because wasn't used anymore:
We can add it back, if you think it's useful.

oh great that at least explains
need to check

still it's somewhat bound to x509 use case, so you will need to tweak implementation if you aren't using x509

yeah :/ not using it right now
Im still in the conception phase to rule out whats best and secure

would it be of interest to add a rsa and aes implementation from axtls into the core or into a library?
I guess if pweople what to reuse (e.g. for the updater) it would be more a core lib, right?

axTLS is linked by default, so there is no particular need to move stuff from axTLS into the core
maybe writing a wrapper may be a good idea
or even better, just adding a header file with all the declarations

I'm trying to use these command line tools on a mac: https://github.com/arduino/Arduino/blob/master/build/shared/manpage.adoc

I've installed the plain old Arduino.app ... where can I find this executable?

NVM: /Applications/Arduino.app/Contents/MacOS/Arduino
