Hi guys. I'm quite new to ESP8266 and have just built a simple motion detecter using a PIR sensor. Next step is to integrate a DHT22 sensor. My question is, what's the best way to make the ESP8266 truely wireless. A bit pointless to have to it tethered to a USB cable? I'm familiar with coding but electronic circuit is new to me. Any tips or pointers greatly appreciated.

@larsenglund i'm curious, why you want to reset the device with a gpio pin in the first place and not via ESP.reset() ?

Heya all!
I am having some issues with OTA on a new ESP-12S module.
I keep getting the OTA_BEGIN_ERROR leading me to believe that my flash didn't have enough space. However, I just checked - my firmware is 249968 bytes, and on checking the modules flash size via ESP.getFlashChipRealSize() I get 1048576. Am I missing something here? It's 1M or 4096 Kb right?
