hi, is there any one having a sample code for esp32 udp and tcp multicast server

@sankarsurya this is the esp8266, not the esp32 gitter channel. Mistake?

moin moin
coming back to the above code, fixed with the valid server name....
sometimes the server is not available for hours. this confuses the esp8266 totally. Is there any way to do it better when the connection fails?

hi all!
is there any callback for wifi connection restore?
esp8266/Arduino#748
i need some stuff done when it is connected but wonder if there's already some alternative to continuous checking status
@holgerlembke what do you mean? you do get an error when you try to connect
what else would you like to happen?

it connect ok, but sometimes state is WL_DISCONNECTED and it then resumes the connection by itself, as expected... on that case i would like to have a callback to start some stuff as soon as wifi connection is restored
@me-no-dev thank you

@me-no-dev anything similar for WIFI_STA, when connection to my router restored?

@me-no-dev I get all sorts of i2c errors...
@holgerlembke hmmm... why I2C issues when you have network issues in reality?

@holgerlembke

@me-no-dev seems unrelated, after it run all day now and I had several i2c problems with server running.... so there are i2c bus problems to look for.

@holgerlembke that I can easier agree on :)
what are the issues? with what devices?

currently hih9130, tsl2561, pcf8574, htu21d, PCA9685, CCS811, BH1750FVI, ds3231, bme280, bmp180, FM24C256
looks like I loose the bus totally if that error occurs.

oOoooooOO all of those on the same device?
maybe you need to change pullups?
what is the error that you are getting? have you looked at the bus through LA?

yes. esp8266<->3.3v<->levelshifter<->5v
i want to move to esp32 but i'm still looking for a better display

better display?
BTW don't know if ESP32 will "fix" your current issue

@holgerlembke
May 25 2018 14:15
I know. just because esp32 is "the future"

if you can figure out what is breaking I2C and rater what the outcome is (data pulled high, devices do not respond to addr... etc) it will be really helpful
you have ESP32 there?
Holger Lembke
@holgerlembke
May 25 2018 14:16
yes, lots... :-) those lora/oled/esp32 one and some wemos clones

current display is a ILI9341 with 320*240...

what do you not like about it?
ILI has great support for both ESPs (well better on ESP32)

yey :D now let's DoS your device :P
if you use the new LwIP, it does not have the TIME_WAIT limiter yet, so I might be able to :D
