Aditya Tannu
@AdySan
does the abusing I2s to get audio thing really work? I tried making something like this but gave up
Michael Miller
@Makuna
Wasn't there a audio streaming sample using I2s DMA?

Hi! On a basic web server sketch I'm having a delay, like the webpage takes ~4 seconds to load. Is the culprit of the browser or the ESP? Also, can I use the async web server in platformio? Maybe should I consider switching to async?

@\all (non-spamming slash :smile:) the old users: I was very busy these months. However I'll start to have more time.

@Links2004: Finally I got working the LED dimming. I'm working on a stable firmware for it.

@me-no-dev
@crushedice2000 you no async? :D
Helio Machado
@0x2b3bfa0
@me-no-dev: No async but willing to change. Really I'm really tired of getting the loop dirty with handling code.

@me-no-dev
https://github.com/me-no-dev/ESPAsyncWebServer plenty of examples in the readme :)

@me-no-dev: Thanks! trying...
Tired now, good night! and thank you!
Victor Tseng
@Palatis
@crushedice2000 it's super easy to adapt to the async webserver
@crushedice2000 just connect the pages the old way, and use the request variable to replace the server variable.

@ystrem
Hi
somebody using this https://github.com/gioblu/PJON ?
Helio Machado
@0x2b3bfa0
@ystrem: Never seen that, however, thanks for the info. Maybe someone here uses that. You can ping them with @/all is like a special command.

Are there any plans of doing an asyncFTPServer? :smile:
Keith Andrew Hill
@vic10us
FTP? Eww.
FWeinb
@FWeinb
Got anyone this to work https://github.com/FastLED/FastLED with an LPD8806 mine is not working at all...
Using an external power source attached to the LED Stripe on common ground.
Aditya Tannu
@AdySan
@FWeinb why not WS2812 or SK2812?
LPD8806 is weird, addressable LEDs + PWM control?
FWeinb
@FWeinb
I have some LPD8806 here. I build some Ambilight on an RPi with these and they work flawless.

I have modified Xbee ftdi for 3.3V/800mA, 2 cut and 2 soldering. http://www.ebay.com/itm/XBee-USB-Adapter-Bluetooth-FT232RL-USB-to-Serial-Port-Module-for-PC-Arduino-/111787929312 (probably clone. Mac and Linux only)

My USb-Serial adaptor just arrived, but my ESP boards are still in the post - what can i do with the usb-serail programmer before the board arrives?
tzapu
@tzapu
actually ftp is really damn usefull for getting a lot of files onto and off of SPIFFS
even from sd
so naysayers be gone :P
Keith Andrew Hill
@vic10us
You could use a plethora of better suited protocols for micro controllers.
liba2k
@liba2k
@vic10us Any examples?

@vic10us
TFTP (super lightweight), MQTT (small payloads), HTTP (bloated but widely supported)

can I ask something related to PlatformIO....?
looks like it copies files from somewhere to .pioenvs/ folder under the project directory, but... where does it copy those files from?
leomatrix
@leomatrix
@Palatis I have the same problem with you
I don't known the process of how compile the source code
Victor Tseng
@Palatis
there's lib_dir in platformio.ini, but can't find one for for hardware variants...
@lishidetiankong i dun really care how it compiles and generates the executable as long as it works XD
@lishidetiankong need a exception decoder badly, anyway.
Ivan Grokhotkov
@igrr
@Palatis like, um, gdb? :)
Victor Tseng
@Palatis
@igrr well gdb'd be good... but i always get exceptions inside the closed source part.
Ivan Grokhotkov
@igrr
too bad... Still, check GDBStub library for gdb instructions if you haven't already
Victor Tseng
@Palatis
the folder it copies file from is more a prob
