hi @me-no-dev are you around?

@Lan-Hekary

Hello .. I added a way to use Digest Authentication in Webserver in this pull request esp8266/Arduino#3053

check it out :D

Lan-Hekary
@Lan-Hekary
I originally requested the change about two months ago esp8266/Arduino#2898
but I don't know why no one accepted it so I closed it and opened a new one for someone to notice :smiley:

Hi, just want to integrate this switch with light. But I am not sure how to connect to 230V.
I can measure out the two pins, that are the NO-contact, but the third one?...
Has anybody a hint for me? Do not want to make any experiments with 230V without having more infos
Michael Miller
@Makuna
@brutzler how does this question pertain to Esp8266/Arduino?

@brutzler
sorry to bother you... forget it....

Hi, I was happily coding along on my esp8266 and suddenly I start getting exceptions with a stackdump.. I load up the WiFiScan example - still stackdump.. add some printouts and it seems to dump when calling WiFi.disconnect(); in setup().. how do I proceed to solve this?
I'm using Arduino 1.6.8 and the 2.3.0 stable release of the esp8266 core
Lars Englund
@larsenglund
I can run example code that does not use the wifi
(for example reading from a i2c temperature sensor)
And the wifiscan example was running just fine a while ago..
Lars Englund
@larsenglund
If I comment out WiFi.disconnect(); it works..
Lars Englund
@larsenglund
Can't find any issues on github that talks about this..
Michael Miller
@Makuna
@larsenglund Try putting a sketch together that "resets" all the wifi settings to some norm. Then go back to your sketch. When I playing around with some settings with switching from AP to Station, I set something wrong and no matter what I did it wouldn't work and I would get crashes. I then set/cleared a bunch of the settings to a simple station and the problem went away. Just something to try.

@everslick
@larsenglund I see a std::throw_bad_function_call()
i guess the disconnect() triggers the callback, but you already deleted the object containing the std::function ? something like that.

Firebase help wanted - I am using mqtt for esp-node.js server. I want to try streaming directly to firebase database from esp. Is it a good idea? Maybe it will eat firebase monthly traffic limits? Any advise? https://github.com/firebase/firebase-arduino/tree/master/examples/FirebaseStream_ESP8266 This example needs an update it is not working and i dont know how to use ESP8266HTTPClient.h with firebase

Hello there, can anyone give me an advice on connecting an 10W led + 12 volt drive to an Arduino Uno? it works but when i tried to connect to Uno it doesn't work anymore. Thankyou:-)
Michael Miller
@Makuna
@tonyyunz_twitter you do know you posted a topic about an Uno to the esp8266 chat?
Martin Sloup
@arcao
@tonyyunz_twitter Wrong chat. Use relay or mosfet transistor (depends on usage).

Hi guys! I'm looking for arduino emulator for detailed debug my sources. Anybody know about it something? Thanks
Lars Englund
@larsenglund
@Makuna @everslick Thanks, I'll try clearing/resetting everything then!

@asetyde
Hi , I'm using ESP-WROOM-2 because nodemcu is not certificated CE and FCC , while wroom yes full compliant . About our library I not found chip configuration and board , pin etc , someone can help me ? Many Thanks
Alexandro Todeschini
@asetyde
ESP WROOM 2 come from ESP8266EX and has ESP-WROOM-02 currently integrates a 2-MB SPI flash , therefore , I note be sure which chip select , for pin compatibility and memory , modality of spi must be 1mb and not 4mb ?

@ongvanor
Hi just a quick question can i use this core library for sotware serial communication? cause i have ESP 01 and arduino mega i need lots of pins for the project
Martin Sloup
@arcao
@ongvanor Yes, just connect HW serial RX/TX directly to your Arduino Mega and use Serial object like on Arduino.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
Thanks for the reply Martin :)
I'll try to implement what you suggested :)
using RX2/TX2 of Mega will do? or i have to directly connect it to the RX /TX of the Mega?
bobcroft
@bobcroft
@ifree92 Igor Google Virtronics they do an Arduino simulator that may do what you want. Also have a look at Visual Micro that runs under the free Visual Studio Edition or Atmel Studio. VM enables code development and code debugging. I do not know of am emulator as such because Arduino clones are so cheap you can debug on the target board. I hope that helps
bobcroft
@bobcroft
@ongvanor You can use any of the serial ports on the Mega, I currently have set up using Rx3 / Tx3. On an Arduino UNO you can also use software serial to output message without getting the boot up crap or if you need a different baud rate. I always try and link the ESP8266 device that is running ESP-Link to the UNO / MEGA using hardware serial ports if possible.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
thanks for the input @bobcroft, one question the target board in uploading my code should be in the mega right? not to my ESP-01 module? correct me if im wrong
bobcroft
@bobcroft
@ongvanor Yes the MEGA is the target board but you have to install the ESP-Link binaries onto the ESP8266 board you are using. It is best to use one of the ESP8266-boards with 4 M of memory if you want to get into OTA.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
unfortunately im using the ESP-01 with 1M of memory
Martin Sloup
@arcao
@ongvanor You can resolder ESP-01 with 4MB flash memory. I did it for my.
Martin Sloup
@arcao
You don't need hot air to desolder old flash chip I use my solder iron and move solder tip on all 4 pins from one side with lifting the chip slightly. Then I did it for second side. It's not so hard.
bobcroft
@bobcroft
@ongvanor, I always suggest the -12 version because you have more pins as well. Good video from Martin and a good test of soldering skills.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
thanks for the input :) just one question, does this library support making your esp8266 module into AP mode and run as a server as well?
ongvanor
@ongvanor
is sscanf already implemented?
ongvanor
@ongvanor
im using the 2.3.0 version of the library
bobcroft
@bobcroft
@ongvanor , as far as I know it can't run as the ESP-Link and run AP mode / server as well. It s primary function is to be a bridge between the ESP and the Arduino device thus giving the Arduino WiFi capability and OTA programming of the ESP and the attached Arduino.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
im currently using an ESP-12E IOT devboard
i bought one yesterday
i wanted to try the git version, since the sscanf is implemented there right? not in 2.3.0 version of the library?
Martin Sloup
@arcao
I use git version on all my projects. And all works ok. The git version has new libc library which add a lot of missing standard functions against 2.3.0.
ongvanor
@ongvanor
thanks Martin im having hard time installing the git version.
just copy past it in the hardware directory in arduino?
