MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
ok, but they are all IN transactions no?
Martook
@Martook
No, a withdraw is an 'out'. A deposit is an 'in'.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
yes, I understand that
it's the OUT I'm interested in
sorry for being simple :S
but it says there are none
Martook
@Martook
The type of transaction is at the bottom of the hash page. I just posted one above earlier.
Do you see the 'withdraw' there?

MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
ahh, so even though it quotes .01525 it doesn't actually end up costing that much?
more like .0022?
at most
Martook
@Martook
That's correct.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
thanks for your patience
Martook
@Martook
That's only what you need to have in your wallet in order to even do a transaction.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
ok, why would it work that way?
Martook
@Martook
It also depends on the amount of gwei you're using. You just quoted an ETH requirement for 61 gwei.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
thanks for your advice, hopefully others are reading this too
gwei is some type of gas?
Martook
@Martook
Don't use 61 gwei, go to https://ethgasstation.info for gas recommendations.
Change it accordingly when you do your transaction.
"ok, why would it work that way?" Because if your transaction fails, you will get charged the full amount as a penalty (so to speak). So, the full amount must be in your wallet.
ForkDelta does not have anything to do with the gas fees charged.
Transaction fees are charged according to the following formula: gwei x gas limit = ETH required in wallet.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
does gwei stand for gas weight?
Martook
@Martook
61 gwei is 0.000000061
It's in ETH
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
yes, understand that part, just wondering why gwei
Martook
@Martook
For the same reason MEW withdraws in wei. It's just how it's set up.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
and MEW charges less than FD?
Martook
@Martook
No, as I said before, all gas fees are the same no matter where you go as long as the gas limit and gwei are the same.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
ok, thanks
Martook
@Martook
Read the formula. It applies everywhere.
Everywhere on DEXs.
Centralized sites have a different fee schedule.
Jonathon Coe
@jonmcoe
a "wei" is the satoshi of eth. the smallest unit
gwei is giga-wei
so multiply the gwei of a transaction (scales the complexity of the transaction. simple sends are the least, complex contracts are the most) by the gas price (scales with network volume and the priotity you set to your transaction) and that's cost of execution
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
Why does my post disappear?
.org sites aren't allowed?
Martook
@Martook
@jonmcoe You're attempting to repeat the formula I posted. The problem with your explanation is that you don't multiply the gwei of a transaction by the gas price. You multiply the gwei of a transaction by the GAS LIMIT. The gas price IS the gwei. A good analogy is to consider taking a trip in your automobile. The gwei is the price per gallon of gasoline, and the gas limit is the number of gallons used.
@MeMateDangerousDave "Why does my post disappear?" The chat bot has rules and will delete in a couple of seconds any post that violates the rules. You'll know what you can and can't post in a couple seconds.
MeMateDangerousDave
@MeMateDangerousDave
Ok thanks. All completed. I transferred my VERI back to ether and managed to withdrawal .143 ether - great success 🤗
Martook
@Martook
@MeMateDangerousDave That's good to hear.
Wiral King
@Bwiralking_twitter
Hello
We wanted to list our token
Please let me know what is the process
Martook
@Martook
@Bwiralking_twitter This isn't a process any longer. EtherDelta is dead and ForkDelta is not listing new tokens any longer.
You only option is to create a URL on your own and broadcast that to prospective investors, but not here in this chat. Use https://forkdelta.app. Take the contract address of your token and place it in the URL where the XXXXX's are. Go to that URL for a trading page. https://forkdelta.app/#!/trade/XXXXX-ETH.
