@chfast
@gumb0 Are the recent Aleth changed deployed on Stureby?
Andrei Maiboroda
@gumb0
@chfast yes, recent block propagation improvements are there, but I didn't really expect them to fix this
Looking at logs I see some other problem in the sync now, also not sure it is the cause of what's happening, but fixing it might improve things
Paweł Bylica
@chfast
Well having a flaky node in the network is good test :)

@/all If you are a core developer and do not have the Zoom invitation please DM me via Gitter
To be clear, if you are working on low level Ethereum protocol stuff such as clients, networking layer, EWASM, evm, eth 2.0 you are welcome to attend.
Tomasz Kajetan Stańczak
@tkstanczak
hi Hudson, sent you a DM, thanks

@Souptacular - if it's decided the meeting is no longer closed, will you publish the link to join?
Hudson Jameson
@Souptacular
Yes I will if that is the case.

@gcolvin
I didn’t attend, since the meeting was closed. Will some sort of transcript be published soon?
Nick Savers
@nicksavers
@Souptacular FYI the call tomorrow will have notes released, but without any attribution under Chatham House rules. - ^^^^. @gcolvin

[Hudson Jameson] The notes should be published sometime in the next 48 hours.
Lane Rettig
@lrettig
I’ll publish them on Monday!
Lane Rettig
@lrettig
As always please feel free to submit PRs with additions, corrections, clarifications, etc.
I may have missed some attendees as I was typing furiously to keep up
Peter Salanki
@salanki
Someone fixed ethstats.net. Cool!
Noel Maersk
@veox
It gets broken every time someone accidentally connects a node from another network to it. It won't be long before it's back to "normal".
Peter Salanki
@salanki
A very quick hack is to cron a restart every week
5chdn
@5chdn
@veox is there a tracking issue for that?
Noel Maersk
@veox
@5chdn Not one that I've seen.
5chdn
@5chdn
we picked up maintaining it at https://github.com/goerli/netstats-server
could you create one at the goerli repo?
Noel Maersk
@veox
Sure, couple minutes...
(I guess you won't be re-creating the repo without the forked from github qualifier?..)
5chdn
@5chdn
no, why?
Ghost
@ghost~5bf74ce8d73408ce4fafd49f
@salanki @veox @5chdn I will maintain the eth-netstats instead :smile:
Is this cool?
Noel Maersk
@veox
AFAIK users on github don't get green boxes on their contribution feed for commits; but just checked - I did get one for opening an issue, so not sure if this has changed... Perhaps disregard, this is a non-issue.
5chdn
@5chdn
I'll consider it
@naikmyeong this is eth-netstats
Ghost
@ghost~5bf74ce8d73408ce4fafd49f
Yes I know
:smile:
But personally I don't like the changes from netstats-server which is from goerli, it breaks too many features from original one
Maybe fix like this https://stats.callisto.network/ can be applausable but we shouldn't hide any charts or infos from our page
Only theme changes and fix for broken ones :fork_and_knife:
5chdn
@5chdn
check PR 12
grunt pow installs the legacy one
grunt poa creates a dash without stuff like uncles or hashrate
Note that she went to press before the notes were released. So the point of the closed meeting was what?
Ghost
@ghost~5bf74ce8d73408ce4fafd49f
@5chdn Didn't notice that one, thanks :thumbsup:
Greg Colvin
@gcolvin
I suggest that those who fear speaking in public can submit anonymous notes so as not to interfere with the full participation of the community. Or perhaps they prefer their words to be misquoted by journalists with no public recording to correct the record.
Lane Rettig
@lrettig
@gcolvin are you suggesting that she should’ve waited to see the notes before publishing, or that there’s no point in a closed meeting since journalists will be journalists? It wasn’t clear to me
5chdn
@5chdn
In response to your latest tweet, Lane, and along the lines of Greg's last suggestion, I also tend to agree that people who have privacy concerns should join using a pseudonym or submit notes anonymously.
